09 Vibe Mileage versus Canadian Mileage

Have 09 Vibe, 2.4L Auto. Get mileage according to stated specs however. Has anyone come across an explanation that addresses why an 09 Vibe purchased in the Us gets 15% to 17% less miles per gallon than the same car purchased in Canada.Even accounting for the difference in the Imperial and US gallon...

Not sure which your asking about, the mileage is close to the rated mileage for a car sold in the US.As for the 2.4L vs 1.8L when I went looking for a car, the gray color, Monsoon, Automotic all the 1.8L had been sold out because of the GM employee price for everyone.

2009 2.4L-5A Carbon Gray Metallic, Monsoon. Solar Gard Tinting, 3A Racing Stainless/Chrome Exhaust Tip (Pep Boys)Get 22mpg with 100% city, got 30.4mpg 90% highway, avg 25mpg. I'm looking into a K&N air filter to see if that helps. Could not find 1.8L auto when I was buying so got the 2.4L.
