Re: Lifespan of a GT hydraulic clutch? (TrojanGT)

32k on your clutch. Seems kinda low to me. Most clutches should last about 50k to 80 k on the normal driving. I have had clutches last me over 80k... But then again it is on how you drive. If you are a heavy and fast shifter it will go out sooner. FYI dont down shift brakes are cheaper.......

Re: FYI Cavalier and Sunfire (ragingfish)

I really havent kept up with the new car as of lately. I do remember that the first drawing of it looked like an Opel (GM ownes Opel), and as i said in a previouse post. Lutz sent it back to the drawing board. So hopefully for my sake as well as all the other Gm employees Luzt made a good decision t...

Re: FYI Cavalier and Sunfire (silverawd26)

They had an idea last year on what it was going to be but Lutz sent it back to the drawing board.. One thing I do kown is that it will have the ecotec and a turbo or charger. They should be rolling out in "05" model year as romor has it... The first car they had looked like a d~~n Opel wit...

quote:No. The Cavalier was never, and is not currently, a Toyota product. It and the Pontiac Sunbird/Sunfire were all GM. Only the 1986-88 Chevy Nova, the 1989-97 Geo Prizm and the 1998-2002 Chevy Prizm were Toyota Corolla based cars.In the mid 90's GM did build a right hand drive Cavalier for Toyot...

Re: Sand blasting effect on cladding.... (NSimkins)

With the "mono-tone" vibes having this clear tape on the lower cladding tells me that this is a known problem with the vibe. GM does not spend any money if they dont have to on the manufacturing of their products. Hmmm makes me think that knowing this would benefit me in getting my vibe re...

The way I see it, not much sense on replacing the parts if they're going to get eaten up again, unless something is changed with the design of the cladding. I concur with your thoughts. Re: Sand blasting effect on cladding.... (Stang2Vibe)

I dont know if something like that would be considered "normal wear and tear" to all people. So yeah sure go out and spend the 50 bucks or so on something the car should of had on it from the factory.... I dont mean to sound rude... But I dont think it is normal for the tires to pick up di...

Sand blasting effect on cladding....

If you dont have mud flaps on your vibe you might be experencing a sand blasting effect on the cladding by the rear doors. Does anyone think GM should be responsable for this on warrenty or is it just common wear and tear?
