Re: (audiovibe)

I feel your pain having a smart dog. I once had a german shepherd female that was so smart, she would take beer cans out of the 12 pack or so my husband kept in the basement, puncture one with her teeth and set it down on the floor so my cocker spaniel could lap it up. He was an alkie, she never dra...

Re: (tnpartsguy)

So far, I've had four replaced and just lost another one. I finally just told the dealer, just order in another four, I'll need them in a month anyway. They are probably on backorder because they can't keep them on and we 2009 owners are losing them at a ridiculous rate. Another band-aid fix, saw it...

Re: 2009 Deathmobile (engineertwin2)

Yes, several of our cars have had large diameter aluminum wheels, and again, we've never had an issue. This wasn't a lug nut problem to begin with -- the lug nuts remained intact and in place. We've owned performance cars, we've owned luxurymobiles, trucks, SUVs and even the occasional "get aro...

Gosh, I don't remember what my GenVibe ID was--that's the great thing about being middle aged -- every day is a new surprise because you can't remember anything anymore.....

Re: 2009 Deathmobile

Nor has any dealer ever said, btw, go home and then drive back so we can torque the lugs....This c...

Re: 2009 Deathmobile (tribalman)

To those who asked, I have a 2009 GT, and yes, before I drove it off the lot, I'd ask to have them go over every bolt

Re: (northvibe)

Thanks, y'all. I was actually one of the first members on this site waaaay back in the day when the Vibe first came out. At that time, I really liked the styling/hauling capacity, but traded it after a few months because I felt it was underpowered. Most recently, I had a Solstice GXP 2008, which I t...

Re: 2009 Deathmobile (jimincalif)

Got what we now refer to as the "Deathstar" back yesterday afternoon. Something called the "knuckle bolt" was replaced and tightened, the car was aligned, and all of the other bolts were checked to make sure they were tight. Drove it to work today and nothing fell off, so it's a ...

2009 Deathmobile

Well, the fun continues with my less than 3000 mile 2009 Vibe -- on Friday, I'm cruising down the road and the freaking back passenger wheel starts making an ungodly sound and I think I have the flat from hell. I pull off the road, only to see the top part of the wheel pushed in, while the bottom is...

Re: (Guss2008)

I've lost all four on the highway, had four replaced by the dealership and my husband just found one of those in the driveway. Clearly, the plastic "vent" things are real susceptible to road vibration and don't want to stay on. The fix above is something to try, but I think Pontiac is goin...

2009 Air conditioning glitch

Recently, I had an absolutely bizarre air conditioning glitch with my 2009 Vibe that went all the way to the Pontiac engineers to fix, so they now know how to do it. If anyone else is experiencing this, it can be fixed. Here's what you'll experience: you turn the car on after it's been sitting 3-4 h...
