No, I bought it from one of their retailers for $549 with free shipping. Im sure its probably cheaper somewhere else, but I've bought from this company in the past and they have awesome customer service. The install was a PITA given its a radar detector, but not too bad, probably about an hours wort...

Rocky Mountain Radar dectector/scrambler installed

Just got done installing my RMR-8RDS detector/scrambler. It has a total of four sensors (one forward looking detector, one forward looking scrambler, one rearward detector, and one rearward scrambler). Tested it with friend of a friend who is a local cop- worked pretty well up to about 100 feet, the...

Ha ha, what did you expect to happen to your scooter by putting Lucas Additive in it? The Lucas oil stabilizer is meant for car engines, not little go cart motors. HUGE difference in operating temp and oil clearances. I run Lucas stabilizer whenever I cant get my hands on Amsoil or Redline oil and h...

I also have one more point to add to this arguement. Several years ago, the automotive society of engineers conducted a test, where they created a pill that you simply drop into your gas tank and it is suppose to add power and increase mileage. They found that in their results showed some 70ish perc...

Single stage is like a primer/base coat/top layer all in one. Usually works well on single color, smooth textured surfaces. If you plan on painting over several different colors or surfaces, you will need primer or the colors will be off. Base coat is good if ou want to hide another color well- usua...

At least GM snatched the top seller's list back from Toyota. When we bought ours a few weeks ago, our dealer told us they couldnt keep Vibes, G5s and G6s on the lot because they were selling so fast. I feel sorry for the used car part of the dealership though- nothing but trucks...

I have several first hand accounts of similar products as well as being the installer of a few of them. The principal behind it works- no doubt about it, but putting it on a car that was not meant to run it doesnt yield the gains alot of these companies are saying they will. We already discussed how...

These DIY hydrogen kits are all smoke and mirrors... Like Prathman said- they use examples of how well hydrogen works by using cars that are strictly designed around the hydrogen concept. It takes alot of energy to creat a usable amount of hydrogen- most aftermarket alternators wouldnt even be able ...

I never really understood the sport compact cold air systems. Most of them suck air from down low behind the bumper cover- which seems retarded to me because its sucking up hot air rising from the road. I guess in colder climates it doesnt matter- but most cold climates are also wet, which poses the...

Whats with the interior noise?

The one thing I found I hate about the Vibe is the road noise that travels up into the interior. Is everyone's like this? I've tried adjusting tire pressures and it helped a little. Im almost tempted to buy different tires. Are the older models like this?

All it is, is a resistor that goes inline between the IAT sensor and ECU. It fools your computer into thinking the intake air temp is lower than normal, increasing fuel and timing. It will add HP in most cases, but only about 5-10hp at the most. Truth is, you can go to Radio Shack and but a 4.7K ohm...

Are the header flanges at least the same. I could fab on up, but almost have the time involved goes into making a header. If I could by one already fabbed up, it would minimize downtime and make the build alot easier. Even doing minor cutting/relocating on a entire kit already built is sometimes eas...

Our 09 GT was rated at 26/31. Our very first tank of gas we did about 60% highway and 40% city and netted about 27-28 mpg. This is also the first manual I've owned in about 6 years, so Im sure once I relearn how to drive it properly,, 30 mph will be easy in mixed driving conditions

Would the Tc kit fit the 09 Vibe?

I've been doing some research and see that the 2AZ-FE engine in the 09 Vibe is similar to the engine in the 05-06 Scion Tc. Im sure there would be some slight modifications to fit correctly, but would all the hardware and placement be similar between the two (i.e., header flanges being similar, engi...

Yea, the dealership took 3 days to get it delivered from another dealer 100 miles away, so for making us wait, I told them to tint the windows for us, and they happily obliged. 20% on the backs, 35% on the front. I may change the fronts to 20% later..

Hey everyone, we just picked up our 09 Vibe GT on Wednesday. I've never owned a four cylinder car, but i figured now would be better time than any. So far we've put 300 miles on it and are loving it.
