Re: '03 AWD suddenly ball-less wonder... (torque2k)

Um. I don't quite know what happened, but my Vibe's now running like normal! On my way to work a few days ago, I climbed a fairly steep hill, chugging away, topped it and coasted down. I had my foot off the accelerator pedal, doing about 35MPH, when I felt the car jerk (slowing, not speeding up) and ...

Re: 1.8 Intake manifold gasket (neebishis)

Which dealer, Plainfield or Toyota of GR? That's a damn good price! Wittenbach Pontiac by me (Lowell) is running $9 per... Oh, and they told me I should change my timing belt.

Re: '03 AWD suddenly ball-less wonder... (millster)

Thanks, all, for the ideas. Well, except the truck nutz. There's an old farmer up the road from me who actually has these on his old Chevy; otherwise, I would've been scratching my head at that one. From the Matrix troubleshooting section:1. Injector2. Fuel pump control circuit3. Ignition coil (w/ I...

'03 AWD suddenly ball-less wonder...

Hey, all.I've got a 2003 AWD which, while always relatively ball-less, has over the course of the past two months become a real dog. I'm reminded of an old Yamaha moped I had when I was a kid, which had an engine regulator to keep it from going over 25MPH; try and go faster, and it would just bog do...

Re: (hipeman)

Hey, a fellow GR native! I'm on the north side of Lowell, so I do that 25 mile run twice a day, down M-21 to 96/196 into downtown. I have a 2003 AWD, and my mileage has NEVER been what the sticker said. In the winter, with the stop/start driving I do, I get about 24MPG in the winter, and about 27MPG...

Has anyone found an AUX unit for the 2003 6-CD (no nav) yet? Just got an iPhone 3G, but I'm disappointed none of the obvious adapters works with that model...

So that's where all the little "white" scratches on my roof/backend/doors came from. I thought maybe the previous owner was a painter and had ladders he threw around on the car!Does anyone have rust coloration showing under their rear door handles? It doesn't look like it's the underlying ...

Re: Poor Man's Complete Performance Mod Guide for the 1ZZ-FE(Vibe Base & ... (BlueCrush)

BC, you state that these mods will work on '03 AWDs, which is what I'm driving. Will an AWD see enough of a performance boost (especially after Stage 1) to bother? I love the extra traction in the snow, but the thing is dog... dead... slow in the upper gears. And I just sold my '94 Camry LE 4-cyl to...

Re:

Funny story.Just bought my 2003 AWD in early February, and didn't really use the windows until warmer weather visited Michigan. I noticed the crunchy noises on the driver's side, but didn't think too much about it. A friend forwarded the recall info in an email the first day it hit. Two days later, ...
