Re: Do you leave your foglamps ON? (DopeVibeGT)

I'm sorry but I think that cars that drive around with just their driving lights or fog lights and parking lights on at night look really gay. Most modern cars seem to turn off the fog/driving lights when the high beams are put on. Why is that?I'm pretty sure that the lights on the Vibe are Driving l...

Re: Scheduled oil change (NovaResource)

Thanks "basic A-hole"! It's good to know that my car is just "running in water" (great analogy by the way) and not running into a concrete wall. I talked to the dealer and they are going to drain, refill and detail my engine. I guees they are making an effort. I just love going t...

Re: Oil Change! (ngilbert)

Well, many of you have valid points. Saving $ is good. Convience is good, especially when it only costs a couple of $. My problem is that I've had most of the experiences listed in this topic: oil cap left off, overfilling, underfilling, oil all over engine, windshield washer cap left off, etc. Livi...

Re: Scheduled oil change (avarice)

So I've heard from a couple people that you should change the oil after about the first 1000 miles. In fact the salesmen at the dealer that sold me my car suggested this. So being the good little new car owner I decided to take the car in on Saturday to the dealer by my house. After the change I pai...

OK. So would a good Strut Tower Brace and/or an Anti Roll Bar setup add the strength to the car that it needs to run with 17 or 18" rims?

Re: Stock Speakers (Idsane)

So even though the stock head unit doesn't have RCAs a line converter will feed the amp what it is looking for? Sounds good. I'll have to check into that after Christmas. I haven't done jack for shopping. Mr. Procrastination, that's my name. Thanks for the info.

Re: TRD big brake kit (pissedoffgokart)

I bought the base Vibe. Is it possible to fit the brakes off of a GT up to the Base Vibe's rear wheels? Is there any improvements over the base Vibe's rear drums. I was thinking about trying to find a wrecked Vibe GT or Matrix XRS and poaching those parts. Any thoughts?

Re: Stock Speakers (spt013)

So I replaced the rear stock speaks with a pair of Infinity KAPPA 62.5I last weekend. I also installed a 280 watt Kenwood 4 channel amp. I'm running the Infinitys off 2 of the channels. The sound in the rear has definately improved over the stock speakers. However, I think they are still way under p...

Re: dealer installed security system (vibegirl)

Dealer gave me a guess of about $600 to install the option. I've done installs before and wonder what the deal is with the price. I've found the parts on http://www.toyotapart.com for just under $300. There are several part numbers available. The Toyota dealer has told me that if you have Keyless En...

So basically it would be a waste to buy the CAI now if I plan to put the SC in when it is released, right?

Re: A few places that sell TRD parts (KSNeptune)

I hear that! I would seem that GM tuning hasn't caught on to the fact that the parts will sell. It's so great to call several Pontiac dealers and get no info and to call one Toyota dealer and immediately get everything you need. Toyota just seems to have it together. The Parts department at my local...

Re: black dot on the windshield? (Sub-Vibe-R)

Yeah, what's with that light sensor anyway. I'd be better off with a flashlight and a blanket to keep it acurate. Does anyone know if those dots can be taken off with a razor or something. I'd love to mount my Valentine one right there, above the rear view mirror.

Re: Stock Amp (ourvibe)

I'd also love to have a copy of this diagram. I'd like to tap into the rear line leads at the stock amp and wire them to my Kenwood so I can push my Infinity Kappas. I'd be willing to host the picture on my web server!
