Re: Broken door handle (ColonelPanic)

The driver's door handle on my 2003 Vibe just broke in exactly the same way.Is there a preferred/trusted/inexpensive source for these handles? I need a black one; no color matching necessary. Thanks!

when to replace brake shoes?

Hi folks!I just replaced the brake pads on my 2003 Vibe, after 85K miles. My car has rear drums.Do the brake shoes tend to need replacing when the pads do? Is there a way to tell how much life they have left without removing the drum? Thanks.

brake pad replacement

Time to replace the pads on my 2003 Vibe...is there anything particularly different or difficult about replacing pads on this car? Or do I just need to unbolt the calipers, install the new pads and bolt the calipers back on like most cars? Thanks!

poor gas mileage?

I've owned my Vibe for a month, and I've put 1800 miles on it so far.It gets driven excluseively on the highway. I'm disappointed with the mileage I'vebeen getting (about 30 MPG). I live in a cold climate (Wisconsin), so that may or may not explain it.Anybody else have mileage numbers I can compare ...

Re: Anyone else have the Chrome Exhaust Tip? (8th Planet Vibe GT)

I don't like the way they look, and my Vibe (bought it off the lot) had it installed, so I removed it. If anybody is looking to purchase one, you can buy mine.

Re: disabling DRL (Vibe)

I cut and grounded the yellow wire this afternoon. Worked beautifully. It's a bit of a pain lying on your back and messing with wires in that cramped space, but all in all, not a difficult procedure at all.

Re: disabling DRL (NSimkins)

That procedure described in that thread will kill the automatic head lights. I want to kill both the automatic lights and the DRL system. So, I assume it's time to cut the yellow wire under the dash.

disabling DRL

Hi folks.I just picked up my new Vibe last night. First thing I need to do is disable theDRL system. I've found some info on how to do it (cut & ground the yellowwire of the DRL module). That info is a few weeks old. Is it still the preferred method? Do I need todisconnect the battery before I st...
