nope, it does lock when you shift out of park, but won't unlock unless you either open the door (only the door that you open from the inside) or turn the key off. I went by the stealership and they were befuddled.

anyone know how to do this on the 09 models? I get out a lot for work and leave the car running, and i really don't want to get locked out on the corner of BFE and You Got a Purdy Mouth.

yeah, someone please, please, PLEASE figure out how to do this with the 09's!! I always wear my seat belt, but i have so much junk in the front seat (laptop, big bag with files, 64 oz water mug) that the sensors think someones in there.
