Re: (MRCN RCE)

A flush will cost more, but just a drain and fill from local toyota dealer (which is where I would take it) $60 with tax.

Tracking mileage and maintence.

I was looking at using http://www.vehiclemanager.com/ for tracking my maintenance but I would also love to find a site that helps me track fillups, MPG, etc. Anyone know of a website that does such a thing at all? Thanks,David

Re: (northvibe)

In the reef keeping hobby we have a saying "dilution is the solution to pollution."I have no problem with doing drain and fills, and actual aggressive flush would frighten me.

Re: Wow what a difference (ToolGuy)

Honestly it is new to me, and I don't know what is done. That is why I am debating doing it again. I am steering away from flush, because I do not know how often this was done, and how much build up may get knocked around.I was figuring I may do it with my next oil change again.

Wow what a difference

So over the past few days I have been doing a LOT of maintenance to the car. Two big things I did were getting the tranny fluid drained and filled, and switching over to Mobile 1 high mileage. I can not express how much better the car drives and shifts. It is pretty amazing. I was already impressed ...

Re: Maintenance questions (Sublimewind)

Thanks all. I do not know as much about cars as I should from a maintenance point of view, but I am coming out of an 01 Taurus, which was a mechanical nightmare, and while I know the vibe has the potential to last a very long time, I plan on giving it all the help I can. Some of my questions may be v...

Maintenance questions

I was wondering if I should replace my timing belt. I have a Vibe, new to me, with 93000 miles on it. It seems it was well maintained, but I have no records, etc. I am about to change plugs and wires, drain and fill tranny, did an oil change, air filter, in cabin air filter, and not sure what else.I...

Re: (pick41)

I have twice had problems with fram. Both while in high school, and at the age of I'll just buy what is cheapest. One I had a few days after the chenge start leaking pretty good at the base, but not where the seal is, the base where the body meets the base and is secured. Another I has completely bl...

Mobil 1 at Costco

I know a lot of people on the board seem to like mobile 1. I was at costco the other day, and they stock it and it is $29.99 for a box of 6. Just thought I would post that.

I had planned on getting a tranny flush. With my having been a Taurus owner, I am sure you can understand why.

Just got an '04

Hey all, I am new here. I just picked up an '04 last week, and I love it. It has 93k miles on it, but it is in great shape and looks new as can be, especially on the outside. It has a decal on the sides, but I will be taking that off. Not sure if it came from the factory that way or it was after mar...

Question about a dash light

There is a light on the dash, it looks like an upside down bulb with lines coming off it. I think the manual calls it something like the master light indicator, but does not state what it means for it to be on or off. Can anyone give me any insight?
