BTW, I just filled up for the first time on the hypermilling routine. 36 MPG out of the Vibe GT. http://blogs.kitsapsun.com/kit....html

Re: Just joined the club...and a couple questions. (joatmon)

Way to find it, lol. It's been an interesting process so far. I'm just about half done with my first tank- probably more like 60-65 percent, I'm guessing, and I'm over 250 miles. Driving like a granny can definitely help with your MPGs in the Vibe GT. Just DON'T hit lift, lol.

Yes, I absolutely wanted ABS (it's wet almost all the time here in the Northwest.) Anyway, here's an anecdote about why I'm glad I got them. It was the first big rain on the fall, and for whatever reason people always forget to slow down. A freeway interchange is a sharp right, blind, downhill curve...

Re: Pebbles in a tin can... (BlueCrush)

Nope, doesn't make the sound when I'm parked and in neutral. Only when in gear and moving. It's definitely not a chirp, chirp sound, either. I'll check out those bolts as soon as I can. I did some more searching and agree it's not likely the lift bolts. Lift works just fine, too. Obviously the cars ...

Re: Pebbles in a tin can... (drunkenmaxx)

Any idea how I might test to see if this is it? Thanks.

Pebbles in a tin can...

That's the best way I can describe a new sound in my 04 GT. As if someone is vigorously shaking the tin can. It's not really loud, but without the stereo going I can definitely hear it. I notice it when I'm in city traffic in second or third. When I'm cruising it won't make the noise unless I let of...

04 bumper replacement?

I bought my 04 Vibe GT two weeks ago to the day, and guess what happens at work today? Some turd scrapes my bumper and drives off. No note. Nothing. Needless to say, I'm steaming. I got the Vibe because a kid pulled in front of me and totaled my previous car. I've been advised against filing an insu...

Thanks everybody. I'll probably head to the local junk yards this weekend, but you never know what people have kicking around.

Just joined the club...and a couple questions.

On Monday I joined the Vibe club when I bought an 04 Vibe GT. It's the most fun I've had driving in a long, long time. My previous two cars were an 87 Subaru wagon with about 75 horsies, and a 90 Chrysler New Yorker (It was free, OK?) that handled like an aircraft carrier. Anyways, I'm loving the ca...
