Rear Drums

I've got a '05 base with 97k miles. I had the front pads replaced at about 40k miles due to some squealing, but haven't touched them since. My rear rotors are still original, though. How long do these things last?! How will I know its time to replace them? Thanks!

Re: Suspension Upgrade (keithvibe)

How severe is the neg camber? Will tire life be significantly impacted or not so much? Does anyone sell the camber bolts and rear shims for our Vibes?

Re: Suspension Upgrade (keithvibe)

So all you need to get are the springs and keep the stock struts? How long do the struts last before they do "blow out"? Also, won't there be some negative camber due to the lowered height or will a simple alignment take care of this? Thanks!

Suspension Upgrade

What's up! I wanted to ask those of you who had their Vibes lowered what was involved with the process. I've heard that lowering springs require new shocks, extra equipment to modify the suspension as well as realignment. Do the springs/kits out there from Eibach, for instance, include all of the ne...

Re: Replacing OEM Shocks? (kevera)

Where can you find a lower strut bolt? Also, I know handling is much improved due to the lower center of gravity, but what about handling with bumps in the middle of turns? With a stiffer, compressed spring and stock shocks, isn't it more likely for a loss of traction to occur? As you've probably no...

Re: Replacing OEM Shocks? (ramenboy...)

I read somewhere that if you use lowering springs with the stock shocks, it will place a lot of stress on the shocks which would result in them wearing out prematurely. Also, does anyone have any negative camber issues with their lowered suspensions? Are there any camber kits for the Vibe?

Re: VVT-i vs. VTEC (ajflan)

Wow, that's pretty disappointing. I thought I had read something where the VVT-i did have lift on the intake side. So, it's only on the 2ZZ not the 1ZZ?

VVT-i vs. VTEC

I was wondering what the differences are between the VVT-i and VTEC variable valve timing sytems. The wife drives a '98 Honda Prelude. When it hits VTEC at about 5400 rpms, you definitely feel a turbo-like power surge. My Vibe is a base model with the 4-speed auto. When I push her, I don't feel that...
