Been about about 500 miles and still going strong. If anyone else stumbles across this thread try your oil screen first before commiting to replacing the pump. Especially considering how easy the 1.8 is to get the pan off.

The oil filler hole has a baffle on it so you cannot see down into the top of the head. I've put about 40 more miles on it now and still have had no more problems so it's looking like the pump is fine. I've been told that sludge can cause some kind of regulator in the pump to stick which may have al...

I cleaned the pickup and the pan and put it all back together and everything is good so far. I've put about 30 miles on it.Called the place where I get my oil changed to find ou...

Yeah, I love the Vibe's functionality. It works perfect for hauling around computers and all my other junk. The other day I had it so loaded down that I got to see what it's going to look like when dropped 1.5". I was hauling 40 UPS's in it. Anybody that doesn't know what that is, it's a comput...

Factory 6-Disc Changer

This one is for anybody that's still running the factory 6-disc changer in their Vibe. Mine displays text for radio staions (station & artist info), but doesn't display text from CDs. Is this how its supposed to work, or should it be displaying CD text as well? Just wondering because I've never ...

Thanks for all the welcomes. Blazin' Technology is a computer repair business I started back in 2004. I wanted a vehicle to do up for my techs to drive kind of similar to the way the Geek Squad uses the VW Bug. Since I don't like looking like a friggin dork, I chose to use the Pontiac Vibe. No offen...

Hey everybody, found the forum searching for lowering kits. Bought a vibe for my business and planning to drop it and puts some 17 or 18 inch wheels on it. I'll post any questions I have after I get through reading all the info posted in the tech sections. Here's a pic.
