Opinions of these winter tires?

I am looking at getting winter tires for my '06 Vibe FWD. These are the ones I am considering right now. Does anyone have any opinions about these, or any other recommendations (for snowy/icy Canadian winters?)Michelin X-IceGoodyear Ultra Grip IceNokian Hakkapeliitta 2Toyo Observe G-02Thanks,Tom

Re: (ZubenElGenubi)

Very interesting. Now 1.5 miles seems like a pretty short test. Do you think the data would be much different after the engine is REALLY warmed up? It doesn't seem right to me that your optimal fuel efficiency would occur under 50 MPH, but that's why I asked...

Re: (Johnny5)

I recently got 35.5 MPG on "secondary" type highways going between 80 and 100 km/h (50 and 62 MPH.) That was over about 300 miles.

optimal fuel efficiency speed

Does anyone know the speed at which you should get optimal fuel efficiency on an '06 Vibe FWD Auto?

Re: Household plug (binary)

That's my fault. I edited and changed it from "what do you use it for" to "what is your favorite use."

Re: (new05vibeowner)

What do you mean "30 minutes of waiting before you have enough juice to start the engine if you kill the battery this way."? I assumed that if you kill the battery then it's dead until you boost the car and let the engine run for a while.I am still confused about the point of that button b...

Re: power plug (slvrvibes)

How long would you plug in, say, a laptop, with the car in the "on" position (but not running) before you would get concerned about running the battery low enough where the car might not start? (Then how long would you run the car to recover from this?)

power plug

I am a new '06 Vibe owner, and new to this forum.I'm not sure about the 115v button beside the power plug. Is that basically just an "on/off" switch? Also, can I use that plug without the car running? How long before I need to worry much about killing the battery?Tom
