Same problem here too. I ended up taking off the rock guard to get more room to play with, and more leverage, and slipping a strip of rubber inbetween my filter and my wrench to get more grip on the filter. After that, it came right off.

Great news! The tire shop called me today and apologized profusely for being so adamant that they did not lose the lug, being that the manager found it this morning sitting in the bay where my car was. Anyway, thanks for all the help, I really appreciate it!
