In over 10 weeks I've only seen 2 other Vibes. The one Matrix seen lives just down the street.

Back in the early 60s I had an Uncle who drove out west from Michigan. Without the "knob", he said he wouldn't have been able to do it. Lost an arm in the war.

My electrical tape solution worked for a few days,....but alas,...the the squeaks are back. I believe from the outer edges of the bezzel were it meets the rest of the dash. GM should have some kind of fix for this ?

Re: Vibe/Matrix audio compatibility? (mfpr)

Cassette made by GE. Wal-Mart sells it for about $20. Minimal hiss noticeable between songs. Kenny Loggins tape. I didn't turn up the sound much. Now if I had a real, in dash player, we could just crank it up. All we really wanted the deck for was audio books. I've got a jillion cassettes like every...

Re: Vibe/Matrix audio compatibility? (mfpr)

The wife & I also like to listen to audio books when we're on a long drive. I bought a cheapo casette player from Wal-Mart and then plugged it in to the AC outlet. It works OK but would be a lot nicer if there was an in Dash unit. I'm curious as to the Matrix unit. ????

Re: K&N Has CAI for the Vibe and Matrix (Flip-Side)

Here's another wife training tip. When she starts taking you for granted, just send her off to spend some time around some REAL a*@holes. She'll start to think that you're really pretty good ! Here's another. My wife (an RN) brings her check home to me. She's just tickled that I pay the bills, etc. ...

Re: K&N Has CAI for the Vibe and Matrix (rasermon)

Sorry. No pics at this time. It's not much different than the standard photos at the top of this page you're reading. Typhoons for the Vibe come in 4 colors. Red, Blue, Silver, and Polished. I opted for the polished. I've only had it on the road for that short test drive. Hunting elk means I've been...

Couldn't wait. Installed it today and took it for a short test drive. WOW ! Definitely has some "ummph" now". More of a "throaty" sound from under the hood. Gits up and goes down the road a lot quicker ! I think it even made the stereo sound better ! Well worth the money. I ...

I read over the post by N Simkins, very informative. I pulled my bezzle off, easier than I thought it would be. Just started pulling and working it back and forth and so on. It comes free, and in my case, rocks forward like it was hinged from the bottom. I think it was Salsa that mentioned "pla...

Re: Got our new Vibe, but bad news using GM Mastercard rebate (Bdaz1)

I checked out the redemption figures before I went to the dealer. I was surprised it was only $1000. But hey, a 1000 is still a 1000 saved. And that in turn saved me another $80+ in Tax. And it was no hassle to use at all. The finance guy told me that GM was going to halve the amounts at the first o...

Factory Front End Cover (s)

I'm not a happy camper. What they sent, does not, IS not the same as in the picture on the GM accessory site ! The instructions are very vague illustrations. Not pictures, and no text. The biggest "foopa" on this is an outlined area in front that can be cut out for a license plate. It's an...

Re: Engine Block Heater (Frosty)

We use to have the largest stand of Ponderosa pine in the world. After our big fire last June, I'm not so sure. Took out 480,000 acres. The environmentalists had their way. Our mill is now 100% recycled. So there isn't much pulp wood harvesting going on. Which adds to the problem in the forest. We h...

Engine Block Heater

Just picked mine up from the dealer. They weren't about to tell me where it goes. Can anyone tell me where this heater is suppose to mount ? There's not a whole lot to it. Wire inside of plastic insulation with the electrode (heating element) on one end, and the plug on the other. With a few clips a...

Check out http://www.xpel.com site. When you go looking for the headlight covers, they give cost of headlight replacement, etc. Probably a good incentive to buy protection versus replacement, hassle, etc. The first advice I got when I moved to rural Arizona was make sure you get "all glass"...

Still new at this game. Came across a site, http://www.autoseattle.com/stongard.htm that has a product called "StonGard Light". It's a 1/16" transparent lense that fits over your lights. Therefore doesn't stick out like conventional covers. I called to order. Spoke with "Steve&qu...

Vibe mods & accessories.

I've seen the factory accessory site and another with some engine mods. What I'm looking for are front light protectors. The small cars I've had in the past seem to be magnets, ie, stones to the headlights, turn signal lights, etc. Anybody know of any ? Or investigative leads ? I take position of th...
