Re: Subaru WRX

Question about the AWD:On the WRX, it just shifts drive power from front wheels to back wheels (and vice versa), right? It never really drives with all 4? Or even just the left 2 or right 2?Heck, do any cars these days drive like that? Even just front-left and rear-right, etc? Seems like that'd be a...

Re: Subaru WRX

I did look at a Subaru WRX. They are more expensive, but I was talking with some people on http://www.i-club.com (Subaru Forums) and they say Subaru is very dependable these days. They're speedy, handle extremely well (AWD), and are just all-around cool in my book. With speed being my thing, the WRX ...

Bonneville vs. Vibe

Wow, this is a lot more response than I had hoped. Thank you all!Anyway, I care! I currently drive a Bonneville and it's a great sleeper of a car. With a few mods, it'll start to really scream. However, I was curious about this because I may be up for a new car here shortly.I want more contiguous car...

Insurance and Mods.

Being a total newbie to car mods, I was just curious if there are certain insurance companies that allow performance (and other) modifications? Is there a limit on what you can do? Does brand X insurance allow more modifications than brand Y insurance? Or do car modifiers just not report their mods ...

Bonneville vs. Vibe

Just curious what you guys think would have more 'pull.' And by pull, I mean when stepping on the gas from a stop (or cruising down the road), which one would throw me back into my seat the most.A Bonneville (~205HP) or a Supercharged Base Vibe (~170HP)?I was thinking that the 'refined' ride and gea...

Re: Looking for a crossover....

Excellent. Thanks for the info! I guess it's just a matter of price now. The Vibe wins by quite a bit. ...well at least the way I would spec them out! hehe. Even with the new Supercharger thrown in there.I have until summer to decide, so I've got PLENTY of time.

Re: Looking for a crossover....

So, the WRX wagon just didn't have as much cargo room? Or did the seats not fold down? The WRX wagon is currently neck-and-neck with the Vibe. Thanks!

Re: Looking for a crossover....

I'm not a big fan of the styling on the Matrix. That's why I left it out. Since the Matrix and the Vibe are essentially the same, I just put in the one that I thought looked better. And yes, my list isn't ALL crossovers, I just want more storage than a car, but not pay a fortune for it.

Looking for a crossover....

I may be up for a new car here soon. I'm looking for something with good horsepower and a lot of options. I was just curious what other crossover-style vehicles you guys considered before purchasing the Vibe. What's good/bad about each one? What made you choose the Vibe over the others?I'm currently...

Re: Bonneville mods.

Hey, thanks! Didn't even think to look up Grand Prix stuff. Afterall, both cars are on the same wide-track chassis as well as have the same engine.

Bonneville mods.

Anyone here know of any info/sites/forums/etc. to look at to find information about aftermarket Bonneville (year 2000 and up) parts/mods? Namely superchargers, sport suspensions, and other performance and "good looks" mods. I haven't been looking TOO hard, but all I can find are Xenon repl...

Vibe GT Logo

I've had just a tiny bit of time. This is nothing spectacular by any means. It's just a plain logo on black. It's meant for 1280x1024 resolution, so those with smaller resolutions can photoshop it down to whatever size you want.To view it as intended, set it as your background with it Centered (not S...

Re: Vibe GT Logo

Both of you are on the right track. That IS what I want, but they're still a bit small. If you could snap a picture where the logo portion is 650+ pixels wide, I'll have plenty of size to work with for cropping, resizing, touchup, etc. Thanks! Or heck, if you can take 3 individual pictures: one of t...

Vibe GT Logo

Does anyone have (or know where I can get) a fairly large picture of the Vibe GT logo? It can either be a picture of the actual logo on the Vibe, or just a flat 2D graphic.I'm looking to make myself a cool little desktop background.Any help you could give would be great! Thanks! Re: GT owner in waiting...

Looks like I'm going for Abyss Monotone. And lucky me, there's one in the area so I don't have to order it! But I suppose that since I wanted the GT, I'll have to learn stick before I even testdrive the beast. I just hope it's still on the lot when I'm ready to buy! I'm sure it'll be fun!

Jetta GLI and a GTI VR6....right around the same price. I wanted to tame my appetite for a kraut-mobile, but dad talked me out of it. Maybe next time. heh.

GT owner in waiting...

So, I've got a question or two before I pony up the money for a sweet little Vibe GT.The moonroof opens fully and slides between the roof and the headliner, correct?Wheels larger than 16" are not recommended with the moonroof because the stress may crack the glass? Or is that totally wrong and ...
