At 6'5 I find that my Moonroofed Vibe offers plenty of head room, I have no problem fitting in it., Plus I love the cool breezes!

I'd probably ride my bicycle everywhere!Would have made the 55 mile commute a ***** though.Actually I would have gotten a Cooper Mini S or a hyundai Elantra GT or a Beetle convertible.None of these cars would be the practical family mover that we intend the vibe to be however

I won't have the highest mileage, but I'm pretty sure I average the most per day.We got our Vibe on August 24, 2002 and are now approaching 19,000 miles!! I'm averaging about 1,000 miles a week. Ugh! My resale value is gonna be non existant by the time I'm ready for a new vibe

Re: How do you feel about the quality of your Vibe? (ragingfish)

Our Vibe came off the lot in late August and It's about to turn 16,000 miles. So far the only problems we have had is that we can't keep it clean thanks to New England winter, our mileage dropped substanially after our first oil change, and two pieces of bad luck, one destroying our tire, and the ot...

Re: Is Vibe a "Family" vehicle? (moondawg)

Here is some evidence to further explain how great a family car the Vibe is.first off, I'm 6'5 and drive with the seat down and back. , I've had my sister in law who is 5'7 sit behind me without complaint (this with our map pocket chock full) We've had two adults and a 4 month old in a carseat in th...

Re: Power Outage (old man winter)

Yes, this happened to us after about a week. It was entirely possible that my wife left the lighter pushed in and shut the car down, once the car was cold we were able to pull it out and it seems fine now. It has not had a problem since and I often use the outlet to charge my cellphone. switching fr...

Re: Winter and the GT (millster)

I just can't bring myself to spend $100 each on alloy wheels when the road salt will just make a mess of them. [/QUOTE]Question: Should I replace my 16" alloy factory rims with steel rims for the upcoming New England winter? I'd hate to have gotten an option that looks cruddy just 8 mos later.

Re: gas mileage (Frosty)

So far after 6 fill ups and 2200 miles (in Two weeks, Thank god I didn't lease) I'm averaging 30 mpg. Mostly highway miles at about 80-85 MPH. IF I slow down to 70-75 will this improve my mileage figures, or can I go as fast as I want? I have a base vibe auto.
