My Vibe just had the converted replaced this week. It set a check engine light , but did not seem to affect performance. The paperwork says converter overheated and discolored. No mention of ECU replacement. Mine is a base 5 spd with 47,000 miles. I was out of business for 2 days, but Rinke Pontiac ...

Fuel Tank Range

Just came back from a trip with the Vibe. On 1 tank we went 423 miles! It took 11.6 gallons to fill ( 36.4 mpg) It is hard to do but if you can keep the speed below 75 these cars reward you with this. I am thinking with lower speeds a 500 mile range might be possible. Need a long low speed ( 45 - 50...

Re: Michigan Meet Preliminary head count (Triton GT)

I will be there. Pablo 1669 talked to me about it and can't wait to be there. Oh by the way I rode in Pablo's car. There are cars that play Rock and Roll. (and there is nothing wrong with that) His car IS Rock and Roll. The parts he has on his car work very well together. The exhaust note is just ri...

Re: 1st Birthday for GenVibe coming soon! (Stang2Vibe)

My Vibe is celibrating its first birthday today. I picked it up 3/23/02. I wanted a black one with moon and tunes, power group, alum wheels and a 5 speed. At that time could not find on on the dealers lots.So I put in an order mid March 2002. I had just sold my Malibu and my wife was without a car. ...

Re: Rear Window Seal (silverawd26)

I had the same thing happen on my 2000 GMC Sierra. The Dealer fix was to glue it back on. I bought the Vibe 3/24/02 at Hart Pontiac in West Branch. Almost 1 year old. Hart had exactly the car I wanted in stock. I have been going to Auburn Pontiac for service. quote:Yeah,Take the darn thing back.What...

Rear Window Seal

I was driving and noticed an increasing level of road noise, almost sounded like a rear door was open. Upon further inspection found that the seal around the rear hatch glass ( not the whole hatch, just the glass) had partially fallen off. I pushed the seal back onto the flange and my Vibe was much q...

Re: my base vibe 5 speed reved to 6400??? (coratz)

I have been to the rev limiter a number of times and always think that the fun is over too quickly, should have went for the GT! I have about 15K miles now. Has anyone else noticed there seems to be more power after 10K miles? I know this thing feels like it should star in the movie The Fast and the...
