I'm having the exact same problem. I just spent the better part of 2 hours troubleshooting. If you have the medium high speed working, the fuse is fine. The problem appears to be the resistor between the med high and medium low speeds ( jumpered the connections at the plug to the rotary switch to ve...

Blown Speaker, Now What???

I have a 2004 M&T with the front left speaker blown. I believe the speakers are 2 ohm, so that is what I have been looking for, but have had very little success. What are my options? Can I use a 4 ohm speaker? Will I have to replace all of my speakers? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I checked those before I posted. While most of my stations come in just fine there are a few (between 89.0 and 90.5) that are just horrible. I didn't know if anyone else had encountered this before or had any suggestions.

Poor Reception On Certain FM Stations

I have an 04 M/T HU. There are certain FM stations that come in very poorly, while on my wife's Explorer they are fine. My question is this:Is this a HU problem (ie. the receiver is just not that good) or is it an antenna problem that could be fixed with a replacement antenna?

Re: Heat Comes Through Dash Vents Regardless of Switch Setting (ColonelPanic)

It is the inside vents. When I turn my switches to the positions I indicated, it blows through those. I didn't think it was supposed to. I'll bring it to the dealer, unless anyone knows how to adjust it. Lee

Heat Comes Through Dash Vents Regardless of Switch Setting

I have found that in my 2004 Vibe, that regardless if I am on Defrost, Floor, Bi-Level, etc the heat still comes through the vents on the front of my dash. This is a pain as I would like to direct the heat only to the windshield when in defrost or to the windshield and floor in Bi-directional. In fa...

iPod Hiss When Charging

I have found that when my iPod is connected to my stereo AND is plugged into the cig lighter to charge, I get a hiss from my audio. If I disconnect the cig lighter charger, the music sounds great. I believe it is a ground loop problem but I'm not sure. Any suggestions on how to eliminate the noise A...

Re: Aux In wiring 2004 Single in-dash CD (migital)

No I didn't but you can use the pictures that were provided earlier. When you open up the bottom of the unit, you'll see the 15 pin connector and directly to the right of it is a six pin connector. The wires you want to splice into are wires 1 (black) and wire 3(2 wires from the black). If you follo...

Re: Aux In wiring 2004 Single in-dash CD

I did this mod to my 2004 M&T Single CD. There are two connectors that go to the CD. I found that the switch/relay gets spliced into wires 1 and 3 of the 6 pin connector vice the 15 pin connector, like was shown in this thread. Also if you use the line out from your iPod, you don't have to crank...

Re: Help - Aux Modification in 2004 Single CD M&T radio didn't work (GMJAP)

I got it working. I used the headphone technique and found that the audio is on wire 1 and 3 of the 6 pin connector, not the 15 pin connector. As someone else in another forum stated, the iPod has to be turned pretty high up in volume as well as the radio volume.. Now I only have to remember to turn...

Help - Aux Modification in 2004 Single CD M&T radio didn't work

I followed the instructions in the iPod sticky to add the line in jack. I figured that the wiring for the six disk MUST be the same as my single disk. I appear to be wrong. When I insert a cd, and the switch is set to CD, the cd plays fine, but if I switch it to the line in connection, I get a "...

Need Assistance For Aux Wiring 2004 M&T Radio/Single CD

I have looked at all the other posts and sticky concerning wiring in a 1/8 inch jack for an iPod. However all the pictures/instructions are for the 6 cd unit. When I opened my single cd unit, I saw a 15 pin connector and a 6 pin connector. I'm not sure which one I need to attach my wiring too. Can a...
