Re: (ColonelPanic)

Well I just checked the air cabin filter and it didn't smell bad at all nor was it that dirty. I then opened up the hood and checked the air intake and the whole area was clean. No dead rodents...It seems like the problem only exists when I have the engine turned on. It get quite nasty with the A/C ...

The thing is I had just replaced my cabin air filter this past summer. The dead animal idea is certainly a possibility. @ColonelPanic - thanks for the tips man, i will definitly start to do that. I like the idea of having someone disinfect the whole thing. I bought the car used and out of state so I...

A/C Blows NASTY SMELL!!

Hi guys I have an '03 Vibe and during the past 2-3 months I have been noticing different smells coming from the AC/heat vents. I believe it happens with every configuration of recirculated air, air conditioning on, hot, cold, vents. It smells like vinegar/(removed)/death...and it is completely unbea...

K&N Drop-in Filter Won't Fit

Hi guys, I am currently having a problem installing the K&N filter I just got. This is the model I got: http://www.knfilters.com/searc...-2252I popped out the old filter and for some reason just couldn't fit the K&N filter in there. It seemed too wide to fit in the slot. Any ideas what could...

Well I got the "Magic" eraser and it really lived up to it's name! Unfortunately thought it couldn't get all the paint off the bumper. It did a good job on most of it, but it just couldn't handle the last bit, no matter how hard I scrubbed. What's the next step do you think? Light sandpape...

Accident messes up front paint

Well unfortunately due to someone driving foolishly(seems like everyone here in LA) I had a minor accident where the front nose of my Vibe scraped the side of another car. I inspected it and it looks like the black paint from the other persons car has scraped off and is stuck on the front of my car....

Re: (Jahntassa)

What ballpark price would you figure to replace both speakers and the amp. How much should I be spending to get equal or preferably better quality?

Speaker Rattle

Hey guys, I am having a problem on an '03 moons/tunes with a rattling front driver-side speaker. When bass hits certain frequencies, the speaker rattles. Does this sound like the speaker needs to be replaced?

Re: Map light LED not Lighting (ColonelPanic)

Unfortunetly I don't have a multimeter. I would really appreciate the help! On the bad news side of things, I was trying again this morning(in better light) to switch out the bulbs, but was not only unsuccessful, but it looks like I blew a fuse somehow. None of my domes come on anymore. So it's time...

Re: Map light LED not Lighting (joatmon)

joatmon - Thanks for the info. I believe it is polarized. Yes this is the map light that is part of the moon roof controls. The reversed polarity makes sense. I hope it doesn't require a rewire, cuz that sounds like quite a difficult task(especially if it ends up not being the issue). I just want to...

Map light LED not Lighting

Hey guys, I just put in a couple of LED lights for my other dome lights, but for some reason the LED bulb I got for the front map light isn't lighting up. It's the 1895 ba9s bayonet base bulb, so I know it's the correct kind. Any simple things I could have screwed up? Thanks-Dave Frank

Thanks guys. ColonelPanic - Ya it's just for the look. I just ordered them up!ragingfish - I saw that, I was using it as reference, but couldn't find any 1895 type bulbs on the sites I was looking on for the bulbs. I guess they just didn't offer that type, or called it something else.

New HU...no audio...

Hi everyone, I just went about replacing the stock HU in a '03 moons/toons but when I started up to test my new unit, I got no audio! The new CD player starts up and has power but I am getting absolutely no signal to any of the speakers. I got it from Crutchfield and followed the directions to the t...

Thanks for your inputs! I just think if I have to spend around 200 bucks to adapt an ipod to the stock radio, I may as well get a new HU with that money.

Probably should just go to plan B: adding an aftermarket HU with AUX in the back. Thanks guys for the help! Can't wait to start c...

Newb iPod Question

Hey guys, I am getting my new(to me) 2003 Vibe next Friday and am trying to figure out how to attach my iPod in it. As I said it is a 2003 with the single CD player and I believe the moons/toons package (it has a moonroof). Ihave been reading about certain solutions, but I want the ability to contro...
