I'll check that. What it really looks like to me (although I could be mistaken) is that I have half of a full security system. The salesman (as smart as they are...) told me that the light under the dash (originally it was just hanging there) was a silencer for the security system.

I was under the impression that I just had the remote entry, but now it looks more like I have the full security system (or part of it). Do you have the little red light under the steering column? I do, and it blinks really fast when I unlock the doors, then after the 30 seconds, the blinking slows ...

That's really not the same problem. The doors do not re-lock when I am in there. I can sit in the car for 30 seconds with the doors unlocked and it will then not allow me to start the car unless I actually press the unlock key on the keyfob again.

Does anybody else have the remote entry keyfob? Is there a timeout on yours where if you do not get in and actually start the car within a certain timeframe you will not be able to start it without using the remote to unlock the car again (even though it is already unlocked)?
