Dumb question but are the Matrix parts interchangeable for the Vibe?

I know they're basically the same car.

So for my 2004 Vibe, I can just get a 2004 Matrix part for what I need?

2004 Vibe here

I noticed a strong gas smell today while driving.

Once home, looked under the car and a liquid was dripping down in the middle just behind the front wheels.

Then looked under the hood and looks like this rubber hose has came loose.

Can someone tell me what this is?

2004 automatic transmission

Started the car up today and shifted down to reverse but it did not engage.

Freely moves to every gear with the brake pressed but will not engage in any gear.

I am not mechanically inclined.

Any tips or obvious things I can check?

Here are the codes I am getting:

P0171 fuel system too lean bank 1

P0133 O2 sensor slow B1S1

The check engine light has been on my 2004 Vibe for close to 2 years. It is one of those b.s. codes that don't affect the car.

My emissions test will fail if the check engine light is on.

Any advice on how to beat the test?
