I'm going to pull the stereo this weekend. I think the noise is just behind and to the right of it so I should have access. I'll jam some foam in there and hopefully be done with it!
Has anyone done the dash rattle TSB on their newer vibe? My symptoms sounds right. It makes noise above and to the right of the stereo when driving on rougher roads when it's cold out. It stops when the weather is warm. The noise can be stopped by pressing down with light-moderate force about 6"...
Thanks! I figured it was the same mounting setup. With the snow we get, I'd need to check how much clearance we'd lose. It's not uncommon for us to get 2' of snow overnight before the plows show up. We sometimes have to wait or just bomb through it for 1/4 mile to the highway which is always plowed ...
Thanks guys. I'll get some pics this weekend. The wife is out driving right now. I just ordered up the bumper pad and hope to get the rack and wheels ordered this weekend as well. It's on its way! Just a side note, If I wanted to throw the GT front bumper on, is anything else needed to make it fit? ...
So, this is our second Vibe. It's a 2010 base AWD with 44k. We had a 2005 2wd auto and loved it but sold it when we moved to Tahoe. The wife is cool with me getting a Miata turbo with the proceeds from our 2003 Outback. The new Vibe drives great and is pretty quick for what it is. Here's the list of...
WTB: Vibe GT or Matrix XRS, manual only, low miles preferred, non smoker, clean condition, must be an easy flight and drive back from Lake Tahoe, CA. I usually fly out of Reno, NV. Let me know if you have something!
Yeah, I think the GT I found is priced too high. It's located in the Bay Area which is why. I'll probably keep an eye out for something cheaper. Corrosion isn't too big of a problem where I live but cars do get pretty beat. This winter was mild but our average winters are measured in hundreds of inc...
You are right. I've drive all of those cars except the Type R and the Vibe GT. The Honda products have great driver feel. The newer SI was a little less so but still a fun car. I'd love a Type R but a clean one fetches about 20k in CA. They are a collectors item. I don't absolutely NEED a hatchback ...
Forget Vibe/Matrix and look for a car that has been fun for years, Mazda 3. I hear ya. That's why I like the turbo miata. They are ridiculous. They're fun in stock form but when you add that much power to a light little rwd car, mayhem ensues. The Mazda 3 is fun. I drove my friends 2.3 stick once. ...
Thanks for the replies. I'm hoping to check out and drive the XRS if they still have it in two weeks. I can't get there before that. We'll see. The GT is 3.5hrs away so that's a bit far to just cruise down and check out.
So quick background; My wife had an 05 vibe auto base model and I had an Integra 5 speed LS and a 95 Rodeo 4X4 POS. The Integra had suspension mods only. It wasn't riced out and I used to autocross on occasion in STS class. We moved to Lake Tahoe so I got a 98 Z71 from a friend and a 03 Outback. We ...
