Re: New owner of a 2003 Pontiac Vibe GT !!!

Very nice looking Vibe my friend. My wife and I bought our first Vibe back in 2010 I think. It had 135,000 miles on it and we bought it for $7,250.00. They were asking $7,500.00 but came down a bit for us. It was a base model 2003. Before buying it they let us take it home with us for the weekend s...

Your best bet is to have a body shop fix it. Probably $150-250 if it's pretty minor. The GM body kit is relatively rare and expensive. Or hell, if you don't care for it all that much, you could sell the whole kit here.   Many of us would love to have one, even with a crack. :D

cruise control and cables

I have a Vibe GT with cruise control that works well. I don't want cruise control. Well, actually it's nice to have, but racecars don't have 'em. Plus, it gets in the way of where my turbo is going. Half covered? The small 3/8ths air injection holes, right? Not the actual exhaust ports?

The air injection holes should be completely uncovered when you remove the heat shield.

So you're positive that is the problem? If so... Remove the heat shield if it is in the way. It's really tight back there, so it will be difficult. Get a tap handle at a hardware store if you don't already have one. Put a bit of grease on the tap, and tap the holes. The grease will prevent most of t...

If it is indeed a 2zz, the only issue I could think of is the injection ports. 2003 was the last year for the 2zz without air injection. This is a very simple solution, buy this kit from MWR, and just tap the holes in the head, and install the plugs. http://www.monkeywrenchracing.com/product_info.ph...
