Re: All-wheel drive not working?!

Sorry to revive an old thread, but it was the one with the most accurate information and addresses my question the best... Has this ever been figured out? I am about to purchase a 2005 AWD vibe but feel like I am walking into a poor MPG broken AWD car before I even buy it. I have no way to check the...

Re: Potential 2nd time owner of a vibe

So there is the accident to worry about. But now I am reading horror stories on genvibe about how apparently the AWD is so easily broken. Espeically if the maintainance wasnt perfect for the life of the car, or if it was ever towed NOT on a flatbed. I did not want to think about having poor mpg or c...

Re: Potential 2nd time owner of a vibe

Lastly, there are a good 7-8 scratches or chips in the paint. I would like to do touch up paint at some point. This car is the salsa red paint. Anyone ever purchase the GM factory touch up paint and have success with it? It's one of those paints where if you get a damaged panel, you may need to rep...

Re: Potential 2nd time owner of a vibe

Well, my wife test drove an 06 Kia Sportage and fell in love with it. We traded her little mazda in for it. It's at least a little better than the standard crossover, because it has a 4WD 50-50 lock, and is not completely dependent on automatic electronic slippage AWD system. Its no 4x4, but seems t...

Re: Potential 2nd time owner of a vibe

Hello all and thanks for your replies. I am worried a vibe won't be able to handle a few things. Rough terrain on forest trails, minor mud, decent snow, hauling 4 people and their 50 lbs packs up hills etc. I think what we have settled on is trading the wifes nice sedan in for a small SUV with a 4wd...

Re: Stereo upgrade

Looks good, Pioneer HU are always nice in my experience. What is this tutorial you referred to? An installation guide? Do you have a link?

Re: Potential 2nd time owner of a vibe

I want a new car because my last one was totalled. An actual new car is WAY out of my price range. The vibe im looking at at 7800 is the most I could spend, unfortunately.

Potential 2nd time owner of a vibe

Hello all! My name is Rome. I owned a 2003 FWD Vibe for a year but it was totaled a few week ago. I am now in the market for a new car and I need to make up my mind pretty fast.I really liked the vibe while I had it. Averged about 27mpg combined, loved the cargo space for camping trips etc. However,...

Driver's seat angled awkwardly backwards?

Hello everyone. Sorry my first post here is such a weird question. I just put a small deposit down on a used 2005 pontiac vibe that only had one problem... but its really hard to explain in typed words. The drivers seat when you it in it feels like you are leaning back because the bottom seat is ang...
