So I just bought my new HU for my 2010 and crutchfield included a Metra E5000Single pole-double throw (SPDT) relay. What is this piece? Did you use one?

I'm convinced that everyone who tries to bypass the onstar system and use a metra harness gets abducted by suits from the onstar corporation. I have yet to hear anyone plainly discuss a post, aftermarket HU install that doesn't use the onstar adapter. Does it work?!

Has anyone completed the Onstar bypass with the metra 70-2105 wiring harness? any negative side effects? Just waiting for a little confidence before I order my new hu.

did the Metra 70-2105 work for you? are you missing any functionality besides onstar? i've got a 2010 base 5sp i'm looking to step up.

So I have the same original question except this time for the 2010 model. I got another base and I'm wondering how difficult it is to install component spekers. What are the part #s for the tweeter grills? Any threads on this?

i run my eq at bass 0 or 1, depending on music selection, and mid and high at 6s. this baseline system is pretty crappy though, i can't wait to rip it out of there and put something worth listening too.

anybody else have a rough shift into reverse every now and then? my vibes only got 1000 miles on it so i guess things are still breaking in. its not that rough, just a little rougher than i would expect. let me know if anyone else has experienced similarities.

hey ya'll new to tha' board. i just got a sweet platinum '05 Vibe (it's base but its still sweet) and i'm loving it. just one thing, i was wondering if anybody knew how to just cut out the daytime running lights? either by turning them off completely or just somehow running a switch to control them....
