I have recently noticed that the A/C doesn't work too well unless the engine is spinning up to about 3k. At lower RPMs it works...barely. Is this a known problem?

Jut wanted to chime in and say thanks again to all of you that figured this out. I did the mod myself and it works perfectly. I get bleed from the CD that is spinning so I simply created a CD with 12 tracks of silence and problem is solved. Total bill: about $10.
