That mount in the picture looks like the Belkin cupholder mount, but I see no cupholder below.I only say that because I would really love some kind of iPod cradle for cars that didn't take up a cupholder.

GM adding input jack to upcoming vehicles

Hey everyone, GM is FINALLY adding an auxiliary input jack to their vehicles. It looks to be a normal 1/8th inch jack for plugging in different external audio sources (including the iPod). The article linked below says that the first radios with the input jacks will debut in late spring and will be ...

I e-mailed PAC-Audio the other day:Quote »So the AAI-GM24 WILL work with a 2005 Vibe? There has been some question as to weather it will work on a Vibe without Factory XM or a CD changer. The question came from the Vibe radio not being a Class II GM Radio. However, the documentation for the AAI-GM2...

Thanks! I was debating at weather to go Factory XM or External XM, but seeing as how I don't have a Vibe yet, and I want to get XM before then, I've pretty much decided to go with external XM using a SkyFi radio.

Re: (Jahntassa)

The reason I asked was because I saw a video on Crutchfield about installing a flip-down DVD player. In the video was a screen only unit, and they did run cables down (to what I assumed was the DVD player). If the DVD player was in the same unit, I assumed you wouldn't need to run that, since I beli...

Looking at the AAI-GM24 PDF's, they say it works on "Vehicles with Class-2 Data-bus radios a.k.a. RDS Radios"Pontiac's website says the radio has RDS. What's the difference?EDIT: Looks like GMJAP said it first.

I saw 2 Liquidvideo models on Circuit City's website, the one I'd be interested in has a built-in DVD player as well as lights. I believe the one with a remote DVD player had lights as well.I'm assuming this would install directly over the light, and wire in to that after removing the light?

Flip Down DVD with Moonroof?

Is it possible? I've seen some vehicles with both and some that supposedly can't do both. Just wondering. If so, what's a good model (I am talking about the center flip down screen, with DVD in the screen unit, or separate)?Has anyone done it? Any pictures?I've searched Google and Genvibe, and I have...

Power for external XM radio

I've tried searching these forums, but couldn't find anything. I want a Vibe, but I won't be getting a new car for at least another few months. Anyway, I was debating between built-in XM and external XM (the Delphi SkyFi), but I'm really leaning towards the SkyFi, as I'd like to be able to access XM...

iPod AND factory XM?

Is there any aftermarket solution that will enable hooking an iPod up direct to the factory 1 CD w/Moon & Tunes, 6 speaker, with factory XM, and still be able to use the factory XM???I know an FM modulator would work, but would hate to sacrifice sound quality. This would be on a 2005 model.
