Noise from glovebox or passenger vents

Thanks for all of your help. I really appreciate it. Got the old battery out fine and put the new one in (Duralast Gold series from AutoZone DLG-35 as well). Agreed, the hook was the hardest part. Hoping this one lasts another $100K plus miles like my old one.

Battery replacement - how to?

I am not very mechanically inclined. I need a new battery for my 2004 Vibe (still have original). Someone told me I need to keep juice going to the car so the computer doesn't get messd up.Is this true?Or can I just replace the battery like normal?

They told me the fluids looked dirty so I should have them changed. I know to check the tranny fluid properly, you have to drive it for a while. I'm sure they didn't do that.

Battery Life

I'm just trying to get an estimate of the factory battery life. I bought my 2004 base model in June 2003. While having my oil changed at the local auto center, they suggested I get a new battery before this winter.I've never had a problem with cold weather starts.Seems like the battery should have l...

Transmission Fluid

I wanted to get some feedback regarding an issue with my 2004 Vibe.I took it in to one of the quick service oil change places (I know, I'm bad). They told me my transmission fluid looks dark and like it has 30,000 miles on it. At the time, I had around 19,500 miles on the car. I figured they were tr...

I got my oil changed today. My 2004 base vibe has 19,186 miles on it. They told me I should get my transmission fluid changed because it looked like it has 30,000 miles beacuse it was dark.Is this normal or are they just trying to make a buck (it would be $99.99 by the way)?Anyone else change the tr...
