Re: What's the best size snow tire vs. my factory 17"? (silverawd26)

Maybe, I'm the idiot (by the way, no offense to anyone, I was just joking!). If you check the tire size comparison, the diameter of 215/50-17 are 25.5in. and the 195/65-15 are 25.0" That's a 2% difference. Is that too much??? I had read somewhere that as long as you stayed within 2-3% you were ...

Re: What's the best size snow tire vs. my factory 17"? (silverawd26)

what?????????? Any idiot knows that 15" tires won't fit on a 17" rim. That's what we have been talking about, getting new rims and snow tires to replace the stock 17". The question is do I get the 15's or 16's? Will both fit properly? Is one better in traction due to the profile of th...

Re: What's the best size snow tire vs. my factory 17"? (trdvibe)

trdvibe, this is what you said earlier in your link.........................."the 195/65/15 didn't even come close to fitting! they may work w/ 16's but not the 17's." Now I'm confused??? Are you saying the 195/65-15's do not fit a Vibe that has stock 17"? Looks like everyone was reco...

What's the best size snow tire vs. my factory 17"?

I currently have factory 215/50-17's on my Vibe (non-GT), should I stay with 17's or go to 16's or 15's? 195/65-15's would save me a bundle of cash, about 1/2 the price of 17's. Any difference in performance in the snow between the 3 sizes?I've also heard going to a different size rim would interfer...

I've never seen my light come on. I'm on my 4th tank of gas and have filled up every time with 11-11.2 gals. Fuel gage shows inbetween 1/4 and E. I either have a faulty light or else it's not going to coming on until I'm down to about a gallon to go. I'll take it to E next time and see if it comes o...

Bridgestone Potenza RE92A is the correct name. Size P215/50/R17 90H M&S. We typically get many 2-4" snow falls and occasional 6-8" ones.

Winter driving - Stock Bridgestone Turanza M&S 0k?

Anyone have experience with how the Stock Bridgestone Turanza M&S (215/50/17) will do in the Snow? Will I need Snow tires or is the M&S All Seasons ok. Mine is a base with FWD.

Well, they checked the hoses and they were connected and not kinked anywhere. They kept it overnight and called in the "Water Doctor" and outside contractor. He claimed to make an adjustment to the left side of the moonroof and molding??? They claimed they pressure washed it and it doesn't...

Thanks for the info. As a new owner I was not aware of that Toyota ran the Nummi plant, I will correct myself and say the Toyota's QC not GM must be lacking at this plant or they are pushing production at the cost of Quality. Too bad! It goes in to the dealer today, I'll let you know what the outcom...

I understand your position but are both the Vibe and Matrix assembled at the Nummi Production site? If not, I would then say it is a GM quality control problem with the drain hoses not being connected, not a Toyota design issue. Sorry if I sounded negative about GM but this is my 1st one and I'm exp...

Leaky sunroof drain???

Picked up my 04' Vibe last Sunday, washed it by hand today and have a big wet spot and drips on the drivers side roof pilar and just in front of the moonroof controls toward the window. From reading the forum messages sounds like it might be the drain being plugged or not hooked up on the left pilla...

I read recently on another site that the Vibe 1.8L was a "non-interference" type engine design. Can anyone confirm this? Good news that it has a timing chain...much more reliable and saves $$$ in the long run!

Just picked her up!

Just picked up my 04' Vibe on Sunday. End of the month + good rebates = good deal ($3000 in rebates and $2000 off from the dealer). I was shocked at first at the $21600 sticker price but after driving the car I really liked it, plus the dealer was willing to deal a bit. 1st impressions:Nice rideGood...
