Re: New Antenna (Wescyde)

UPDATE: I took the short Honda antenna that I bought for the Passat and tried it on the Vibe. It fit!! I am going to be purchasing one of these antennas for my Vibe. They are shorter and I didn't lose any reception when I put it on my Passat. Now I know that some people who put it on their Passats d...

Re: When to shift?? (Wescyde)

Here's an update on my first posting. After getting my car back I took it to 6000RPMs and the salesman was right!! Everytime I took it to 6000RPMs I felt a boost of power and the car almost "skips" to 7000 RPMs. Try it for your self. The salesman told me this is a feature specific to the V...

New Antenna

The stock antenna is a little long for my taste. I know that if I get a shorter one, I will lose reception, but I'm not interested in the reception. Does anyone know how to get a shorter antenna??

Re: Can you paint the bottom to make it monotone? (ShaneV)

Whoever does it make sure they use some kind of apoxy after it is sanded. That should make it last longer. Just sanding and painting won't do the trick.

Re: Daytime running Lights (Ryan)

Sorry its taken so long to respond, but it looks like quite the hot topic. I am still going to take the DRLs off. There are tons of cars out there without them and I don't like the way they look. Everyone can have their own opnion. I just like the way it looks without the DRLs.

Re: How did you hear about GenVibe? (mlevine)

I belong to clubb5 (clubb5.com) for my VW Passat and I loved it. I knew there had to be a web site like it for the Vibe and I found GenVibe on Yahoo.

When to shift??

On my 2001 Passat, I try to shift between 3000 and 4000 RPMs (unless I'm racing). Since I've been driving the Vibe GT (about 2 weeks now) I've been trying to do the same. I brought my Vibe into the dealer to fix a few problems (a whole other topic) and one of the salesman said that we are supposed t...

Re: Dealer-added advertisement decal (NSimkins)

Had no choice?!? I would never have accepted the car if the dealership didn't take it off first. Sure you can take it off yourself, but I would much rather have them do it. You are also paying for customer service. Now onto de-badging!! What should I take off?? The Vibe GT sign on the trunk or on th...

Re: Daytime running Lights (Narwhal)

Thank you Narwhal. I own a 2001 Passat and I took the DRLs off and have had no problems since. There are still cars out there without DRLs so I'm not too worried about the safety issue. I will have to see if I can follow the instructions on the web page you refered me too. I just think that cars wit...
