well if you have the money, you could go for the sequential 6-speed from a mr2 spyder, no clutch. the only downside is that the transmission is about $1500. but this tranny is made to be mated to the 1zz.

umm... maybe it was going without saying but...clutch pedal, clutch master cylinder, clutch and flywheel (if they didn't come with the tranny), clutch lines

Should I leave the Vibe?

I love my Vibe, I really do, but there are some problems. For example, I like rear wheel drive and manual transmissions but I have front wheel drive with automatic. I'm considering buying a cheap Nissan 240SX. Unfortunately, I don't have the resources to do the inevitable engine swap at this time, b...

Racing in Metro Detroit

Does anyone know of / attend any street races in the Metro area? I don't want to race, I'm looking to do a documentary film. Races in the northern Metro area are preferable. Thanks in advance for any help.

b+g suspension

does any one have their springs? i know that they are a very well known and respected company, particularly in eurotuning circles. i wonder if their vibe/matrix springs are any good. at http://neverenuf.com/index.cfm...id=74 they are almost $20 cheaper than the tein s.techs.

tranny swap

i know there are already a bunch of threads on going auto to manual but this is different. does anyone know if you can use the gt 6-speed on the 1zz engine? i know it is probably a stupid/rediculous waste of time and money but i have a curious mind.

Re: What Accessories Would You Want To See GM Make For The Vibe? (savedbyzero)

I desperately want either the GTR or GXP body kit made available. I would also like to see the GXP tail lights made available. Also, the performance parts from TRD could at the very least be rebadged as GM SPO. Just my .02.

Re: Pontiac Vibe GXP (ycart1201)

The real question here is can we get a GXP style body kit if we already have an earlier Vibe.

Re: Volunteers for a bodykit needed? (ebslopp)

if someone would be willing to sacrifice their vibe for 3 months could we organise it so 30 people could contribute 100 dollars? then it would only cost everyone the normal cost of a kit (700-800 dollars) plus thier 100 dollars towards development. i know people dont generally like to trust eachothe...

call me crazy but...wouldn't it be "relatively" easy to convert a vibe/matrix to an mr format? you could use the tranny and rear axle from the mr-2 (with some modifications ofcourse). just a thought.
