Re: Vacuuming (POLO)

The best vacuum that I have used is my home vacuum, a Dyson. With three short hair dogs I had to have something better that a Shop Vac or a Hoover Wind Tunnel. I have cleaned both my vehicles with all three vacuums and the Dyson wins hands down. Only downfall it the price, at least $400.

Re: Poll - How many use Synthetic Oil or Regular Oil in their Vibe? (Triton)

I think this is one topic no one will ever completely agree on. I have used both. The one thing that I can say is after a switch to synthetic oil I have a oil leak on a 2001 Dodge dakota. I never had to add oil in the truck until then. I'm sure the AMSOIL guy will post that changing to synthetic did...

2004 Shadow GTMoon and TunesPower packageMonotoneAfter rebates and GM card took out a loan for 15,500. Not to shabby for a car that can haul 3 dogs, 2 bags of luggage, 2 sets of golf clubs, gifts from a wedding shower, and still get 33 mpg.

About the nutrients in the soil. Is it really to fault of the corn plant, or maybe we should blame the farmers. Coming from a "country boy", all you have to do it rotate crops, ideally corn to soybeans and back. Beans replenish the nitrogen levels in the soil helping the levels return to n...

Re: Decided to buy, but what options? (debi5475)

Debi, About a cargo mat, I went to home depot and found a floor mat that I could cut fit in the back of the Vibe. It almost exactly matches the interior and when cut with a razor knife fits into the spot nice and tight. It cost me less than $15 and 20 minutes of install time, compared to the dealer ...

Re: Intake Question (Smokin' Rubber)

Completed the trip yesterday and after sitting on the interstate for 1 hour (stupid construction) the GT got 32 mpg on the fill up. Not to shabby for a car that has 2200 miles on it. I ran somewhere in between 75-80mph. I can't complain.

Intake Question

I need to explain something before I ask my question, so please bear with me. I have a 2001 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab with the 4.7L V8. The only thing that I have changed on the truck is a drop in K&N filter. I routinely get 18-19mpg on the interstate. The truck is only rated to 18mpg. I post on a D...

Winter Tire Question

I need some feedback here. I have the goodyear tires in our 04 GT. We live in PA, 40 minutes from the Poconos. I have a truck for the heavy snow, but how good are the goodyears in 6 inches of snow. If they are not that great, what would everyone recommend? Thanks for the info.

First use of clay bar

I bought and used a clay bar last night and loved the results. I plan on using it on the rest of my vehicles. I would reccommend this to anyone. Has anyone tried the new Mequiar's wax? I think it is called Tech X. I currently use, and love Gold Class.

Road Tar

If any of you are like me, I hate road tar. I was talking to my neighbour the other day and he said he uses WD-40 to remove the tar and he swore that it was easier than the bug and tar remover. I tried it on my truck last night. It takes virtually no rubbing at all. I can't imagine it would harm the...

I voted for Cape May. This is just an idea, but have you thought of coming the other way. For instance the Deleware water Gap. Lots of trails, picnic places, etc. Course you're getting this from someone that would hike every weekend if time allowed.

Thinking about buying

I am thinking about buying a 04 vibe gt mainly for the "fun to drive" option and the ability to haul our three dogs for long road trip (truck gets 17 mpg!) The car has moon/tunes, power package, and monotone paint. The dealer is asking 18,994 in central pennsylvania. Is this a good price? ...
