I may have misspoken. Typically an exhaust system will do more for a stock vehicle than an intake. After more research it appears that the intake will indeed give you more bang for the buck. Sorry about that, I'm more in tune with other makes and have alot to learn about Toyota evidentlly.

I use to bend forks in my laser. It seems to come from "slam" shifting it. I never had any trouble to with any of my rear drive cars. I think it may have to do with the the stress the linkage applies to it as compared to a shifter that mounts directly to the trans.

Replacing the ecu or adding a plug in type device is the best way to go. Actually it may be the only way to go.
