Re: Short ram install problem. Need Help! (rocstar)

I tried something tonight that was interesting. I took the filter off of the short ram. The engine sounded perfect with no pulsing or wheezing. Could the filter be the problem? It's new, but maybe it is causing too much of a pressure drop? I could try buying an off the shelf filter and trying that.

Re: Short ram install problem. Need Help! (Sunny)

Yep, did that. I made sure it was the same way on the Cosmo and back on the stock unit.

Re: Short ram install problem. Need Help!

I only disconnect one hose from the stock air box and reconnected it on the Cosmo. I couldn't have screwed that up.The only thing that I can figure is that the pre-production model didn't have a hose attachment at first. They sent me a rubber grommet and hose nipple which I had to drill and insert i...

Re: (philndz) Short ram help

This is a base Vibe so there is only 1 vacuum hose. I reinstalled the stock unit and the car works fine now. I'm not sure I want to go back to the short ram.

Short ram install problem. Need Help!

I finally got all my parts from Cosmo for my short ram. They are just about to come out with a short ram, and I got a pre-production model. I had to fabricate a support bracket and buy a few other small parts. I got it installed and it worked great for 5 minutes. Then I got the CEL. I ran for a whil...

Re: Is there a difference between Short Rams for GT vs. Base? (MadBill)

What was the temperature difference at slow speeds Madbill? I can fully understand the 55deg. difference at idle, but when the car is moving, you should see less of a difference, right?I don't want a CAI because I don't want to deal with the hassles of getting to the filter for maintenance. The main...

Is there a difference between Short Rams for GT vs. Base?

I see a lot of Short Rams on Ebay for the GT, but none for the Base. Is there a difference?

Re: Need help w/ Cosmo short ram install (rasermon)

I e-mailed Paul in sales at Cosmo before buying this, and he said that they do have a short ram for a Vibe. I was a little worried because it wasn't listed on the web site, but Cosmo seemed to have a good reputation. Paul didn't return my last e-mail when I asked for instructions a few days ago.I gu...

Need help w/ Cosmo short ram install

I'm new to the Vibe and this forum. I got brave and bought a short ram from Cosmo for my base vibe. It did not come with any instructions, which was a little dissappointing. The intake tube only has an opening for the temperature sensor, no other ports. Most of the CAIs and short rams that I have se...
