i don't think that this is unique to north america. you can look at any country where the funds and vehicles are readily available and see customization. i agree that it is a unique vehilce, but we all want to make our own personalities stand out in what we drive.

example: volkswagon has a catalog that owners receive that has all aftermarket accessories avaliable. including body kits, exhaust, wheels, etc. it would be nice to have something like this available for the vibe and the matrix. or how about having gm develop something for the vibe instead of toyota...
