did that, 2500-3000 in damage just from pealing and flaking. That's why I persuing this. This is not suppose to happen, I read these postings and I am not the only one this is happening too. So hopefully others will start complaining and GM or Toyota will get the message.

They are saying it is normal wear and tear. However, Paint PEALING is not normal and they are not coving it under any warrenty. I gave my 98' Corolla up to get this vibe. It has the SAME engine in it. I NEVER had any mileage problems with the corolla. That's why I got the same engine, was just happy they put it in a GM body.
