Hey guys..I haven't been on here for years sold my 03' GT in 05..anyway the stepson has bought one(an 03 GT) I missed the UPS guy today, but we ordered a set of Stagg shocks/struts..cost $200something(included shipping to Alberta Canada) I will be installing them so will let you know.My current pock...
I just had my battery replaced yesterday. Grove Pontiac Buick, in Spruce Grove AB replaced it no problem. I phoned them, and they ordered it in, they used the VME to replace it. But now I noticed I have a headlight switch that is defective, my lights come on when it's cold out. Any one else have thi...
Had my catback istalled today from my base Vibe to my Vibe G.T...talked to magnaflow last week all parts are identical..stated that perhaps a hanger was different...not the case..two different part numbers but identical systems.
The angles are slightly different this can be overcome by using a longer intake hose. Any truck dealer sells these eg:Mack, Freightliner etc. Just ask for a 3' i.d. hose. Some are available with a bellows in the middle. I work for a Mack dealer.
Disregard my post about drilling a hole not required, the fitting is already on the pipe. The only difference is the G.T. throttle body is 3" diameter, and the base is 2.75". The tyhphoon uses a 2.75" ram pipe for both applications, you can purchase a stepped hose for this or get a 3&...
All you need to do is drill a hole for the extra hose from the evap obd canister and weld or jb weld a hose barb or pipe to fit the 8mm hose on the side of the intake tube behind the mass air sensor. And your done. If you have a gt intake buy a rubber hose vacuum plug and plug the small vent pipe an...
I contacted Magnaflow today and the only difference between part#15758 and #15759 is the location of one welded on exhaust hanger. They faxed me a blue print of both systems and the piping and resonator and the muffler are all identical part #'s. So you can transfer one system to another if you sell...
It's a 2003 GT, with 7,500 miles on it. I would modify if possible, my magnaflow catback has been installed for 8 days..and my K&N typhoon is only 6weeks old.
Can anyone help me?..what is the difference between the catback systems between the vibe and the vibe G.T? Also the same question with a short ram? I have both on my base vibe and am thinking of purchasing a G.T can I convert? my cat back is a week old and my short ram is 2mths old???
yes...it's not that bad..but it's not a very old vehicle...at least tomorrow it'll have the 04 cladding..cost them more than a paint job..rather have front end redone..oh well..I want more power..but can't justify the supercharger pricing..
I like the car, I added a K&N typhoon, cruise control, hood deflector. and vent visors, and tint..and have the moon and tunes..but the paint...or lack of it in a year or two..
I know of another person up here that has had it partially repainted 4times and only 11000km...he is trying to demand G.M. to return it..I love my car..but the paint issue isn't good.
I have a K & N Typhoon short ram, it came with all brackets and hardware and was easy to install. Very impressed with power gains, and no C.E.L's after 5000km. Cost me $190.CDN.
I was supposed to get it changed by the local dealer two weeks ago, but they only ordered one plastic rivet, now they ordered 100 at $5.00ea, anyway will be done tomorrow..parts prices were $2300.00 CDN..and they didn't ***** about the bulletin..A big THANK YOU to GenVibe. I wish they'd repaint my f...
I added the Rostra cruise control for the Matrix/Corolla this weekend.I am by no means a mechanic and I installed it myself. It is available in Canada from Grand West Ent (saskatoon) 1800-563-7755part#ros-250-1805 retails $380.43 CDN, Wholesale $277.69 CDN. The instructions are easy to follow, and i...
I just installed the Typhoon on my 2003 base Vibe last night...I love it. Took me just over an hour..really makes a big difference between 2800-4000 rpm...loud and very noticeable difference in power.
I took the copy of the cladding tsb to my local dealer on march 27, and they ordered it...first time they had seen it. Getting installed on wednesday...Some Canadian dealers are cool, even replaced burn't out headlamp bulb on warranty
I just went into my local dealer yesterday. I showed them a copy of the T.S.B, they said it was an internet bulletin, but copied it and will order my parts..will advise me next week. They have been pretty good so far, replaced a headlight bulb under warranty. If only I could get the car painted next...
No cracks yet...fingers-crossed..although snow is melting like crazy here, plus 11 today, so there is a lot of sand and grit on the roads. I drive about 700km a week.
well I hope my local dealer is responsive to my paint issues tomorrow..I figure it's gonna look like a leopard in a couple of years..tiny corrosion spots...on a Frosty..have to change it to Frusty.
I agree with you on the Aztec..they are cheap to buy, and GM better help with my paint issue, otherwise my Vibe will look like a leopard in a couple of years. Are Matrix's having the same paint problems?
My paint chips waaayy too easily. I am going to the dealer tomorrow, it's Frosty and I am noticing tiny corrosion spots all over when I look very close..I have 40,000km, mechanically fine, battery was good in -40 as well.
Cool, I went ahead and ordered it today...price was good. I was just quoted $690.00 cdn for the twin spoiler package from a local gm dealer..thinking about it
I don't know..probably do it myself. I work at heavy truck dealer, lots of mechanics to advise...although most don't like working on "lil" jap stuff...lol
