In-dash 6 disk player

What is the part number for the in-dash 6 disk player? There are a lot of GM ones that look the same on ebay, but I'd like to get the right one the first time. I tried searching the forums for this. Thanks

I just want to chime in and verify GM PART # 12498684 is the Thule 751XT. Mine have a GM sticker on them, but they are without a doubt the Thule 751XT. http://www.thuleracks.com/thul...751xt

Re: So what has everone gotten done with there vibes weak paint (Froggiegirl)

I noticed the poor condition of my paint while I washing the car this weekend. Chips and scratches, I've never had a car with paint this fragile. My 92 Jeep wrangler and 89 dodge van (traded the van for the Vibe) still have great paint in 2004. Where do I start to complain about my paint? The dealer...

Re: Rolling windows down then up does not clear them of fog, condensation, etc. (Big_Red)

I 've made a habit of using the weather strip as a squegee on previous cars, so now I just have to remember to carry a rag out to the car in th emorning to wipe down the windows I guess. Just checking if anyone else noticed this, thanks for the replies.

Rolling windows down then up does not clear them of fog, condensation, etc.

If my windows are fogged or wet with condensation, rolling them down and up does not clear them a t all. Does anyone know a fix for this?I can't find a previous thread related to this. Thanks,Steve Pretti

Re: (SteveP) Roof Rack Bars

GM part number 12498684, roof rack accessory bars, are the same as Thule 751XT. I took a chance and got a set on Ebay for $19.99! Anyway incase anyone was wondering 12498684 is even a gret deal from gmpartsdirect.com since it comes with locks and the Thule list price without locks is $205(US).

Do yours look like the ones in the auction? That would at least verify to me that they are the right ones.

NO, I should have been more descriptive from the start. I'm trying to verify the auction is for the right part before I bid. This has been fun.

The standard crossbars were not an accessory, but the "Roof Rack Utility Bars" were on 03 and 04 vibes. See the accessory catalog for a photo.

They always were an accessory though, needed before you could add accessory ski or bike racks. They were accessory part number 12498117.

Re: New Part number for Roof Rack Accessory bars (ragingfish)

I understand what you are saying, my reasoning is this:If a user wants to install crossbars on an 05, the Thule 751XT type option is much easier to install then risking breaking parts by trying to install the 03/04 crossbars (breaking parts by removing the black plastic covers for the rails). When I...

New Part number for Roof Rack Accessory bars

I see at http://www.gmpartsdirect.com there is a new part number for the roof rack accessory bars - 12498684. Can anyone find out any details about these? They may be like Thule 751XTs, since the 2005 Vibe does not have crossbars. It would be great if they are, since the 751xt bars are discontinued ...

Re: 05 Vibe vs. 04 Forester...Interesting comparison. (Bobbyg123)

I only looked at cars with the fold flat front passenger seat - I need that to keep my sailboard in the car when I want to. So the Forester didn't show up on my Radar. I choose between the Vibe and the Honda Element, for me the final criteria was gas mileage - Vibe beats the Element hands-down in th...

I bet you are right, but I am happy I have mine. I've seen Matrices with aftermarket racks and I like the look of the factory racks better.

Quote, originally posted by savedbyzero »Ok, how disappointing... And they left the useless racks on top! They need to take some lessons from the sister over at Toyota. The racks are not useless - this is what made me get a Vibe over a Matrix. The rack is perfect for my sailboard and my sailbag.

Did you get your key code from the dealer

I just realized I didn't get my key code from the dealer when I picked up my Vibe on Wednesday -are the dealers keeping them these days? I'll call tomorrow to see what the deal is. Love my Vibe -King Neptune.
