I have had the same problem I find you really have to slam it down and then give it a pull up to check. We have blankets in the back for the dog that sometimes get caught. it's one of the little things that (removed) me off about the car.

I am too afraid of my locks and doors freezing up. And it seems they only salt the roads when my car is clean. As for the inside I have a 4-year-old who insist she needs to squish her muffin into everything.

I know IM a little late on this but you might want to try out the Hakkas. On snow it like having a 4 wheel drive I got mine at Robson Racing. cost about a grand total
