Did you add any treatments? Here is additional data in another thread we went through last autumn http://forums.ge...

Re: GM tranny fluid (goodvibe)

Well... Now that spring is here, I thought I would see who had problems with his 6 speed tranny. I noticed the "notchyness" of my GT shifter at cool temps and drained and upgraded my gear lube before winter. Did anybody else change their gear lube? Anybody have trouble? Failure? What did y...

Sulphur and parafin content is also an issue.... You put the wrong thing in, and you could end up like...

Re: tranny Fluid change (Stang2Vibe)

Who knows what comes stock? I noticed that i had knotchy shifts in the morning with a cold transaxle.... And that was in summer! So I swapped it out for a synthetic. I asked the dealer for the best synthetic, I thought I was getting mobile one. I had gone to murry's discount auto parts and the guy t...

Re: GM tranny fluid (goodvibe)

Right.... And do you see the hassle involved in choosing the proper lube? So I went to the dealer. If there was an error it would be on them. Icould'nt go wrong that way. What do I know about lube? Why put 8.800 on my invoice? But I'm glad it all worked out, even though Syntorq is expensive my SLP p...

Re: GM tranny fluid (silverawd26)

Sure I might use it. But with care, as I hear that sulphur content and or parafin content can have an adverse effect on some systems... I would ask toyota and Pontiac first.
