30,000 miles

I just hit 30,000 miles this morning - 9 days before my vibe's 1 year birthday. First question - anyone else hit 30,000 yet? Problems arise? Also - what are thoughts on an extended warranty. It expires at 36,000 miles. Is it worth it?

Hey - you can order the VibeGT in Blue or in White at the same site. Go to the "NEW ARRIVALS" Section. Including shipping, it only cost $15.25. I can't wait for it to come!

Re: Find the Vibe (NSimkins)

I made the trek from New York to Philly Christmas Day! What is normally a two hour drive took over four! I didn't see pavement for the longest time, because it was snow covered. And I was lucky to get over 20 mph for the first two hours! But my base, two wheel drive vibe held up like a champ! I didn...

Re: Carpeting/Covering for Cargo Area (Flip-Side)

I went to home depot and got a 3'x5' rug runner and put the seats down, then cut it to size. One piece on the actual 'trunk' deck with slits cut out for the tie down tracks, and holes notched for access to the spare tire. Then another slab on the compartment that holds the cargo cover, with notches ...

Re: Reading Lamp Light (biggdogg173)

Yeah, that happened to me - I left it on over night. Thankfully it didn't kill the battery, but it's a relitively small electrical output.Anyway, my dealer fixed it without a problem when I got my oil changed. Under Warranty...They just fixed one of my Fog Lights under Warranty also.

Cargo Mat with Access to TieDowns?

Has anyone seen some type of cargo mat available with access to the rails and the tie downs. I use them all the time! It would be a pain in the (removed) to keep removing the mat every time i need to tie something down. Also - the cargo tray from pontiac is a piece of crap. Don't get it.

Re: Suggestions to Pontiac to improve the Vibe

I got a bunch! Don't get me wrong, I love the car, but they could definitely make some improvements1) that little divot in the hood just in front of the windshield where water collects2) some type of panic button on the Keyless Entry (or horn when I lock the doors) so I can find it in a crowded park...

Re: Have you named your Vibe? (michael239)

Well I always thought that a car should have a girls name. Like in "Gone in 60 Seconds." My Grand Am's name was 'Carly'...well because she was a Car. Now with the Vibe...It's rough. I can't find a name that fits her for who she is. I was toying with 'Veronica' so I could imitate Chris Farl...

Rear cargo carpets

Has Anyone considered making a carpet with slots cut out for the tracks in the floor? I use the tie downs a lot, but would also like to put some type of mat in there. Thoughts? is it possible?

Re: Replaced Tire already!!! (AWDBLACKVIBE)

If it makes you feel any better.... Back in May, 23 hours after I picked up my car, my driver side rear tire blew out on my favorite of all roads - the NJ Turnpike! But after a quick change to the donut, I made it to a pontiac dealer where they plugged it for free. But it's been fine since then...

Tailgate Table for Toyota Voltz

The Toyota Voltz, the right hand drive version of the pntiac vibe (same look and everything) says they will have an option for a table which locks into the rails and unfolds and is ideal for tailgate parties, etc. Anybody hear of this becoming available for the vibe in the states?

Re: Seatbelt Lights

For the Record - I have no intention of messing with the 'safety devices' - it's a great feature in the driver's seat. Have you seen how sensitive the sensor can be in the passenger side? if you put a magazine on the sensor, it can start blinking - and MAN it get's annoying. When people ride with me...

Talk about ROOM!

Just for the record - and I don't condone this behavior - but we fit 10 people in my vibe last weekend down in Ocean City, MD. And most of these guys were big...Ok - the girls too - but they weren't with me. Can anybody beat it?

Re: Seatbelt Lights (d_m_kolb)

I guess that's an easy solution. It's just a pain in the (removed) to do that all the time - click it and unclick it. I'm lazy. I just figured someone else may have played around with it already and found a solution.

Seatbelt Lights

Does anyone know how to disable the passenger side Seat Belt flashing light that comes on. It's annoying if there is weight on the seat that isn't actually a person. I don't want to accidentally disconnect the AirBag too. Any suggestions? Thanks...I like
