Re: Do you feel your Vibe's A/C is deficient? (ColonelPanic)

I've had my A/C looked at a few times. First time, they said it was a bit shy on refrigerant. 2nd time, nothing wrong. 3rd time, the heater door/cable adjustment we've all read about, and they adjusted it. 4th time nothing wrong. I think the A/C is weak and in a wagon type design, a lot of space to ...

Re: Continental Tire problem (jennifer0801)

I complained about a "wobble" sound coming from the drivetrain. 30 minutes later, the dealer said that my tires were bad, and that Vibes have issues with premature tire wear, and I'm getting a new set at no-charge. They are replacing with Conticraps again, unfortunately. I have almost 22,5...

Re: winter driving (dante)

I have always lived in snowy areas and as such have driven a lot of RWD, FWD, and 4WD cars in snow. I've lived in CT, VT, IL, CO for most of my life. In my opinion, the Vibe GT with its Continental Conticrap tires is a lousy car in snow. I don't recall exactly what the front/rear weight ratio is of ...

Re: How Old is YOUR Vibe? (ALi3N)

This makes me wonder...any idea how many of the manufactured Vibes are Base, AWD, and GT? Would be interesting to find out the ratio.

Re: Hard to turn Key in Ignition Switch? (VibeChick)

I'm not saying that you do this, but if you have 52 keys and other things jingle-jangling off your key chain, it can warp the key cylinder (okay, 52 may be an exaggeration, but you know what I mean). This is because the extra downward weight on the ignition key, in turn, puts too much stress on the ...

Re: Dead battery...again (ragingfish)

I had a dead battery which was caused when the in-dash 6-CD changer went wacko while I left the car parked in the airport parking garage (yes, I took the keys w/ me). 1st trip to the dealer: diagnose the problem (i.e. make it official, I need a new radio). Second trip to the dealer, replace the cd/r...

Re: Do you leave your foglamps ON? (cruizin gt)

If you leave the fog lamps in the "on" position all the time, then your fog lamps will be turning on and off all day long - and my fear, is then that people think I'm flashing them, or cops for that matter get the wrong idea. The Vibe's light sensor is overly sensitive and it keeps clicking...
