Re: OEM cruise control cutting out

Well guys I don't find any spring, but nor do I find a hole on the pedal arm or the pin that the spring would hook up to. I have an automatic, if that makes a difference. The brake lights work (expect for the high middle one because I need to replace the bulb), so I don't think it's the brake light ...

OEM cruise control cutting out

Hi everybody. I have a 2003 base Vibe auto with just under 150K. It came with the stock cruise control which worked fine until last summer, when it started cutting out. I can turn the cruise on, set the speed, and it will be fine for a while, but then it's like there is a brief power cut (only to th...

Old thread but a little update:I just bought a pair at my local CarQuest for $49.99, but they've got a $10 rebate going, plus they throw in a "pocket LED flashlight". Woo hoo. Must be purchased before Feb. 2, 2012.

In the end, I just wired everything normally at the receiver harness. Then I unplugged everything at the amp, spliced the line level in's to the speaker level outs (so the signal goes straight from the HU to the speakers), and I slid in an RCA cable from the Sub out on the receiver to the sub behind...

I used the 3M kit. They have refill kits, too. Again, TAKE YOUR TIME! I wish I would have not been so impatient. Someday I'll hit it again, but have more important things to focus on right now... Like aftermarket radio install.

Re: Aftermarket Sony + factory M&T amp + 4 ohm speakers? How to connect? (DeLaMano)

Well, a little update:Got all the speakers in following cohocarl's how-to: http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=785 , but not without some finagling. My '03 M&T has some pretty cheap speaker mounts in the front and the Polk Audio db651's I got based on the comments here did not just drop in. ...

Re: Headlight polishing (joatmon)

Okay, I guess that works. But now they're only showing up in your quoted post, and not in the original post even though that has been http'd. I'm confused.

Headlight polishing

Hey everybody!I got a 2003 M&T a few weeks ago. It is in great shape inside and out, but the headlights were definitely showing their age. So I went to KMart and got a headlight polishing kit for $20 (plus there's a $3 rebate going on right now). After working up the nerve to purposely scratch u...

Aftermarket Sony + factory M&T amp + 4 ohm speakers? How to connect?

Hi all! I've done a bunch of trolling through the forums, but I'm still a little unclear about what to do or what I need. I want to install a Sony MEX-BT3700U head unit (52w x 4), and I just got two pairs of Polk Audio db651's to replace the factory speakers. I wanted to get your guys' (gender neutr...

Mystery bolt appearance

Hi all,So I removed the engine cover to get at the OCV to clean it. As I was removing the OCV I noticed a stray bolt, just hanging out on the head, between a couple of the exhausts, pretty much right behind the oil dipstick.Sorry I didn't take a picture of the bolt where I found it, but here's a pho...

Re: (jkm311)

Weellllllll... Okay,I have to say I was a little overexcited. I'd been looking for a new (used) car for a while, Matrix or a Vibe, so I knew what I was looking for. I had driven an '04 Vibe base manual 105K that morning, but it didn't quite feel right. Then I checked Craigslist at noon and this '03 ...

New (used) Vibe owner. Just found GenVibe. Thank you!

I just got a 2003 Vibe on Monday and have already spent many hours browsing through the GenVibe site, helping me diagnose the little things that I want to repair on my otherwise beautiful new car. I just wanted to say thanks and you guys (and gals) are awesome. Back soon.... DLM
