Re: (MJN2)

Not all GPS systems skip parts of Canada. My Etrex showed the roads in Iqualuit and Labrador. I couldn't get the car to either of those places since I went by plane and boat.I got around Montreal very well and I really needed the help to get from the airport to the hotel and back. In Massachusetts t...

How did you ever get a new disc? Most of us need one.

Re: (NovaResource2)

I used to get lost a lot back in the 50s back when I had a new car every year, but most of the time I didn't drive on the road. Now that I have driven my two millionth mile I need help in finding my way around. It was really helpful in Ottowa which is a really confusing city. It will help out in New...

Re: (NovaResource2)

I reported all those problems in the first week and was told that everything was perfect. The dash is even worse, when the sun is shining the dash becomes almost invisible the way everything is hidden.another 100,000 miles and I will look around for a new car.

Re: (ragingfish)

Thanks for the information. Since I selected the car primarily to get a navigation system then I consider that I got a lemon.I was back talking to them within three days and all they did was laugh. What happens when I try and sell the car, am I supposed to lie and say that the navigation system is g...

Re: (Jahntassa)

I don't know where you live, but much of my travel is in less populated areas. If I look at the emergency GPS position for police or hospital the nearest place it can find is 90 miles north. Columbia and Augusta are both much closer, not to mention Aiken.Recalculating the route if you make a wrong t...

Re: (Jahntassa)

I wasn't complaining about the original cost, I am complaining about how poorly the system works. If any other part of the car didn't work then they would pay attention. I wonder if my state has a lemon law?

Re: Navigation Disc (Jahntassa)

I don't know what you have been looking at since I have been using Street Atlas USA with GPS for about 8 years. I just wanted something built into the car. Even my Garmin Etrex is more up to date and a lot cheaper. I have used it from the Yucatan to Labrador

Re: Navigation Owners (Craigmri)

I have used other navigation systems and this one is very bad.It doesn't help that they won't supply an update to the disk.I travel in a lot of places that there is practically no coverage, like in SC. You can forget about using it (except for the map) once you get off the major highways when you ar...

That is very funny. I can see clubs leaving a trail so that I can find my way home.

Re: If you had it all to do over again...would you still buy it? (RoundUp)

I have had a couple of Ford Escorts and the equivalent in Mercury. More than twice as much storage space and easy to store golf clubs.

Re: If you had it all to do over again...would you still buy it? (JustinVGT)

I am comparing it to any car that can hold golf bags. The day I bought the car I found out that my golf bag wouldn't fit in the back unless I took out some of the clubs. I had a small ford before and a small mercury before that.If you want to seat four then all the space is in the back and you can't...

Re: If you had it all to do over again...would you still buy it? (Kari)

It seems like everybody but me likes the Vibe. I would never buy one again and probably net even a Pontiac. This is the worst car that I have ever owned.Storage space is so cramped. The dash is almost invisible when the sun shines. The navigation system is really bad.Even worse is the inability to f...

Re: GPS Nav. system (MA-VIBE-FAN)

It depends on what Garmin system that you have. I used the Garmin Etrex for my trip to Newfoundland and Labrador. I hoped that the system in the Vibe would be much better when I went to Ottowa and then flew north to Iqaluit. I have been all the way from southern Florida to Maine with the Vibe. The s...

Re: GPS Nav. system (esjones)

It is very easy. None of the other navigation systems charge much more than that for the whole program. Once you update the data base the cost of distributing the data is very low. My computer makers are always sending free updates.

Re: GPS Nav. system (silverawd26)

Calling and complaining doessn't help. One person says there is no such thing and the next says it will be $500 or $600. It should be no more than five or ten dollars and we should have had one by now.quote:Would call and complain if they want to charge you. Suppose to be up to date.

Re: GPS Nav. system (PieBoy)

I used the system from SC to Ottawa and found it useful in the city, but the rest of the time it was a problem. The data is so old that many places it is pretty useless. In South Carolina there is very little data and few roads for navigationquote:Has anyone purchased this, and what do you think of ...
