Re: Nummi's run down of thier paint process and metal prep (ColonelPanic)

Oh my god and do they abuse the cars at the 99 line(right before the shipping yard). I've seen so many peel outs, sharp turns screeching tires and the occasional e-brake while turning. And these have like 2.0 miles on the odometer at the most. I was surprised how crazy these people drive these cars....

Re: Nummi's run down of thier paint process and metal prep (gargoyle)

The "area" that I was working at takes 10-15 years to get to, and that job wasn't all that great. Everyone said I would be lucky to even get to this position after getting put back on the production line. So basically, the word is that if I'm lucky, I get to wrap cars with plastic and then...

Re: Nummi's run down of thier paint process and metal prep (ColonelPanic)

It's the lack of armpit deodarant that helps have a smooth paint job. My cousin works in the paint department for NUMMI, but he doesn't do the top coat. I've spent one week working at NUMMI, last week, and was recently terminated for supposedly using "ecstasy." It was a quick thousand that...

RPMs too high

I am having a problem with my car. When I accelerate and push on the gas more than what is expected (not flooring it though), my enging revs really high before slowly settling down to about 3-4000 rpms. So if I was in 2nd gear, and I wanted to give it an extra push, my RPMs would jump to say 5500 th...

How much different are the two fronts? What I'm trying to say is, the rk sport front valance says it would only fit the 05. It looks like it is attached to the original bumper, but dows anyone know what the differences are between the two that would make this only fit the 05? Thanks

Re: CAI Problem (trdvibe)

It would Rev over 3000, but after I went into neutral and stopped the car it would just shut off. Also, it seemed like the RPMs would go up really easily without the car accelerating much, then it would die after that. Is the MAF something the dealer would have to special order?

I've had a CAI in my Vibe GT for a little over a year. Yesterday I changed my air filter, fairly routine job. I have done it before.
