I have had my '08 Matrix 5-speed base model for about 8 months now. I get a steady 33mpg on mostly highway commuting at 70mph. Although my speedometer is very accurate I found the trip meter to be inaccurate. I gained 2mpg when I started using my GPS to track mileage.

Ok, so I can get the recall taken care of if needed.I think the price is a little high too. But NADA adds a $3300 premium for the low miles. Edmunds is similar.Just the fact that a 4-year old vehicle with only 8,000 miles ends up being repossessed by the credit union seems odd.thanks for the replies
