This started about a week ago when i though i had spilled a big bottle of water in the floor on the passenger side.I said some choice words and used the shopvac to get most of it out. Well, ever since that day ive been vacuuming out more water and im pretty sure that this is way more than could have been in that bottle.It is in both the front and the back part of the passenger side. Is it possible that i have a leak somewhere around the door? It has been raining pretty hard around here for a couple of days. Where should i start looking? It's supposed to storm tonight, im thinking about going out to the car and see if i can see any leaks.

daaamn...that's a lot of water!!!!definitely doubt it's an A/C condesor leak...i'd venture to say a door seal leak, or maybe the moonroof drain leak...either way, might wanna throw a tarp over the car so it doesn't get too much water in it...you may not be able to fix the problem now, but you can at least keep it from getting worse

If it storms tonight i'll watch it and if it leaks ill put a tarp over it.

Another thing you can do is to sit inside and have someone with a garden hose spray the car around all the seals. This will help figure out at which point the water is leaking in at. Make sure you hose down along all the doors and the windshield.If you're still under warranty, just take it to your dealer and let them deal with it. I'm sure they'll give you a rental.

just a suggestion but,the lines for the moonroof run down each a pillar you might want to check and see if they are exiting the car where they should be. the moonroof has drains on all 4 corners. the front hose run down each a-pillars and the rear i think run down the side of the roof and exit behind the rear tires by the pressure relief valve. return to the dealer and have them check it out with water still there or they will say they can't duplicate it.

This may sound stupid, but I know I've overlooked a lot of really simple things before, it's easy to do so. Have you checked to see if the window on the side was rolled down a tiny bit?

Did you resolve this issue?I am having the same problem.I discovered it on a trip from Michigan to Missouri.I'm heading back to Michigan next week.. then at the end of the month, I am heading to Kentucky.If you can post as much info as possible, I might be able to get it fixed before I head to Kentucky Thanks!

I re-ran a wire that i had run on that side of the car and i have yet to test it using a water hose. I've been parking in the garage lately so i dont know if its fixed or not. but its something that is definately on my todo list.

Mine was actually unplugged all the way.If the carpet molds (i see some white stuff under there) would this be a warranty thing you think?

Wow, that's the same thing that 87iroc had happen to his... Sounds like they put this drain tube in a bad location!I would hope the dealer would replace the carpet... I had a nasty A/C leak in my old Malibu, once they finally were able to find and supposedly repaired the leak, I made them replace the carpet. The problem cropped up within the first week, by the end of the first month of ownership, the new car smell was gone. It continued to leak, so once I knew it was fixed for good, I made them replace it again. Definitely don't wanna mess around with that stuff!If it's been leaking for a while, demand some new carpet!

The plastic can crack if over tightened and if so, it will create more of an issue. There is no pressures or liquid like a metal clamp needs to secure and nothing touches the tube that could grab it and knock it off. I used a Tie Wrap and it holds tight enough. GM recommends a tie wrap.

Again, the power of genvibe.Was touristing an older relative around the local sights, and running the AC a lot more than usual, she noticed the front passenger floor was wet. Having read about this problem over the last four years, I knew what to check, and it was obvious the water came from the disconnected AC drain hose. easy to fix, and hot enough out to dry out the carpet in a few hours in the sun.
