well, i figure there will never be a catback made for the awd, so i am going to eventually just get a magnaflow muffler. would someone reccomend which would be best for my AWD?(from ptuning) Also, am i correct in thinking i have to get the muffler welded on?

Take your car to a good muffler shop and have them install a magnaflow and a nice stainless tip. It will make a difference!

Hi drunken.I'm assuming here that the AWD muffler is mounted crossways, the same as on the base and GT. If it runs parallel to the centerline on the left, ignore everything that follows. The problem with all of those "universal" mufflers is that they are designed to fit on a pipe running parallel to the centerline of the car. At 14" long for most, there isn't room on the left side for a crossover pipe from the right side to turn 90 degrees and connect. Also, the bumper mount flange hangs down quite far and the muffler might not clear. If you didn't mind carving up the plastic valence on the right side like I did with my duals [see pic (the cut's not as ugly as it looks here)], you could probably hook one up to the stock pipe just behind the axle and run it straight back on the right, but you'd likely be better off to find a muffler that had a 90 degree bend in the tailpipe(s) so it could fit crossways like the stock one.
