Correct fluid capacities

Hi all,

I am getting mixed messages about the capacities for a 2007 base Vibe. The manual says it takes 4.4 quarts of oil. Is this correct? I added about 4 quarts and it seems right on.

Also, is the coolant capacity correct in the manual? It says 6.9 quarts.

What about the transmission fluid? What is the total capacity for this vehicle. When I do a drain and fill I get out about 3.75 quarts each time. Whereas others have commented and say they only get about 3.3 quarts out of their vehicles.

So what is the general consensus on these fluids?

Thanks.

I'd suggest you run warm up the engine then recheck the oil. But I've read it's 4.4 quarts.

The coolant sounds right.

The Transmission is because 1/2 the fluid is in the torque convertor. The only way to get it out is to run the engine then drain and refill at the same time.

Hope that helps. Always go by what is in your manual. Always check your oil again before starting after a day or two.
